Dave Malloy's GHOST QUARTET to Play in Concert at Maria Hernandez Park

The Bushwick Starr is thrilled to present the very first performance of The Mayor's Office of Media & Entertainment's Off Broadway in the Boros inaugural series. For one night only, July 29th, 2016, Dave Malloy, composer/playwright of the Broadway-bound Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, brings his award-winning chamber musical Ghost Quartet, a haunted song cycle about love, death, and whisky, to Bushwick's Maria Hernandez Park for a very special outdoor performance at sunset.

2015-16 OBERON Series to Open with GHOST QUARTET

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University, under the leadership of Artistic Director Diane Paulus, presents the first offering of its 2015/16 OBERON Presents series - GHOST QUARTET, with Music, Lyrics, & Text by Dave Malloy, Developed & Arranged by Ghost Quartet, and Directed by Annie Tippe. Performances run September 9, 10, and 11 at 7:30PM, September 12 at 4PM and 7:30PM at OBERON, 2 Arrow Street, Cambridge.

The McKittrick Hotel (542 W 27th Street, New York, NY), home of Sleep No More, is thrilled to announced that the Manhattan premiere of the song cycle Ghost Quartet by Obie Award winner Dave Malloy has added 24 more performances (full schedule below).

GHOST QUARTET Adds New Performances at McKittrick Hotel

The McKittrick Hotel (542 W 27th Street, New York, NY), home of Sleep No More, is thrilled to announced that the Manhattan premiere of the song cycle Ghost Quartet by Obie Award winner Dave Malloy has added seven additional performances beginning Monday, January 19th. Originally scheduled for January 5, 2015 through January 18, Ghost Quartet is performed by Malloy alongside Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 alums Brittain Ashford, Gelsey Bell and cellist Brent Arnold, and directed by Annie Tippe. Tickets for Ghost Quartet are $45-$65 and available at events.mckittrickhotel.com/ghostquartet.

The McKittrick Hotel (530 W 27th Street, New York, NY), home of Sleep No More, is pleased to announce that it will present the Manhattan premiere of the thrilling song cycle Ghost Quartet by Obie Award winner Dave Malloy for eight performances only beginning January 5, 2015 through January 18. Ghost Quartet, performed by Malloy alongside Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 alums Brittain Ashford, Gelsey Bell and cellist Brent Arnold, and directed by Annie Tippe, is a vibrant theatrical presentation of the ensemble's debut album, also called 'Ghost Quartet.' Ani Cordero to Release New Album RECORDAR, 4/29

On April 29, 2014, Ani Cordero is set to release her new album titled Recordar: Latin American Songs of Love and Protest, revisiting songs from the 1930s-1970s that highlight influential artists who provided the soundtrack for social change. Ani, along with co-producer Sérgio Dias of the legendary Os Mutantes, are re-introducing 11 classic songs and their iconic writers to new audiences. The songs are by musical folk heroes like Víctor Jara, Alí Primera, Atahualpa Yupanqui, Chavela Vargas, Violeta Parra and many more. Recordar re-imagines music from the Nueva Canción movement of Latin American and Iberian folk-inspired and socially-committed music.

Dave Malloy, John Leguizamo & More Receive Berkeley Rep's Ground Floor Residencies

Today, The Ground Floor: Berkeley Rep's Center for the Creation and Development of New Work announces that it has selected 18 projects from more than 30 innovative artists for its third Summer Residency Lab. This June, as part of an extraordinary laboratory for collaboration, some of the nation's most prominent and promising writers, directors, and composers will unite at the Theatre's campus in West Berkeley for an intense four-week period to live, dine, and create new plays together. Dozens more local and out-of-town actors and directors will join The Ground Floor process, bringing the number of artists involved close to 100.

Julia Bullock to Join Cheyenne Jackson, Carolee Carmello & More for BROADWAY CLASSICS at Carnegie Hall, 11/29

Manhattan Concert Productions has announced the final cast of Broadway Classics at Carnegie Hall, which takes place on Friday November 29, 8PM at the Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage, Carnegie Hall. Previously announced cast members include Phillip Boykin, Carolee Carmello, Cheyenne Jackson, and now esteemed soprano Julia Bullock, star of The Indian Queen, has been added to complete this star-studded line-up.
