The National Theatre of Great Britain brings the popular show on tour to Hershey Theatre in a production that rivals the original New York one

The 2013 Dora Awards took place in Toronto on Monday June 25th at The St Lawrence Centre for the Arts. To accommodate demand, the Bluma theatre was also opened up for guests and the awards were live-streamed via 'Doratron'. As in previous years, there was a glamorous VIP ceremony pre-show followed by a post show street party that closed down Front Street. A record number of Doras were given out, with Young People's Theatre's CINDERELLA the runaway hit of the evening with seven awards. BWW is thrilled readers photos from the evening.

Silver Spring Stage presents Frost/Nixon by Peter Morgan, directed by Kevin O'Connell and produced by Devon Seybert, the engrossing dramatization of how the then-washed up talk-show host David Frost convinced the disgraced Richard Nixon to be interviewed for television. Frost/Nixon will perform weekends April 5 to April 27. Silver Spring Stage is excited to announce that Jim Reston, one of the team members that prepared David Frost for the historic Frost/Nixon interviews, will participate in a post-performance discussion on Sunday April 21.

Silver Spring Stage will present the family festive favorite Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol adapted by Michael Hardwick, directed by Pauline Griller-Mitchell and produced by Natalie McManus and Pauline Griller-Mitchell. The holiday classic has delighted generations with the story of Ebenezer Scrooge visited by the Ghosts of Christmas to reveal his past, present and future if he continues miserly ways. This hour-long version of A Christmas Carol will run two weekends only tonight, December 7 to December 16.

On Tuesday night the all Canadian production of War Horse opened in Toronto, making it the third production of the Tony and Olivier Award winning play worldwide. The show received an immediate and enthusiastic standing ovation from the audience, and proved once again what top notch theatre talent the city of Toronto has to offer.

The all Canadian cast of War Horse, the show about a young boy who's horse is sold to the cavalry during WW1, opened last night, February 28, at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto. Last week members of the press got a special sneak peek at the cast of the upcoming production of War Horse in Toronto. Held at the rehearsal studio in Liberty Village, many people came out to get a first glimpse at the Canadian 'Joey' and his fellow castmates. Set in a darkly comic world between heaven and hell, a court case examines the plight and fate of the New Testament's most infamous and unexplained sinner. The Last Days of Judas Iscariot will perform weekends October 28 to November 19.
