The series hosts intimate performances with some of Country Music's most exciting songwriting talent taking turns telling the stories behind their hit songs and performing them as originally written. The Country Music Association's critically acclaimed CMA Songwriters Series wrapped the second-annual U.K. and European tours with a final show in London, England. Stops on the European tour included Stockholm, Oslo, Hamburg and Amsterdam before heading to the U.K. for shows in Glasgow, Liverpool, Gateshead, Manchester and London. Featured artists on the tour, that ran from Oct. 8 – 22, included Kassi Ashton, Ashley Campbell, Chris DeStefano, Tenille Townes, Drake White and Charlie Worsham.

The Country Music Association visited Houston yesterday, Monday, Sept. 17, with Josh Kerr, Maddie & Tae and Jon Nite, joining the CMA Foundation to meet with students at Waltrip High School followed by a CMA Songwriters Series Presented by U.S. Bank performance at The Heights Theater. Monday afternoon, the songwriters visited Waltrip High School in the Houston Independent School District (HISD), participating in two band classes and a Q&A session, in addition to being treated to special performances by the students in each class.
