Austin Pendleton to Direct Michael Weller's JERICHO Reading at Abingdon

Abingdon Theatre Company continues its Ghostlight Reading Series with JERICHO by Michael Weller on Monday, December 19 at 7pm. The reading is free and open to the public at Abingdon Theatre Company's June Havoc Theatre (312 West 36th Street). Austin Pendleton is set to direct.

American Symphony Orchestra To Perform BERNSTEIN AND THE BOSTONIANS At Carnegie Hall, Today

American Symphony Orchestra will present Bernstein and the Bostonians, the second program in its four-concert Vanguard series at Carnegie Hall, on Today, November 18 at 8 PM.  Music Director Leon Botstein will lead the ASO in a performance that pays tribute to the Boston School, a group of composers who lived, studied, taught, and composed in and around the Boston area.

JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH to Roll Into A.R.T. This December

Following previous season's sold-out holiday hits, The Snow Queen, Hansel and Gretel, The Light Princess, and The Pirate Princess, the A.R.T. Institute presents James and the Giant Peach, adapted for the stage by David Wood from the book by Roald Dahl, directed by A.R.T. Institute alumnus Dmitry Troyanovsky, featuring actors from the A.R.T. Institute Class of 2017.

Julia and Lance, a young professional New York City couple, have just moved into what they believe is their dream home, in the West Village. As they bicker over unpacking and remodeling, flyers containing radical slogans fly through the mail slot and land on the kitchen counter. Is the house haunted? Reluctantly, Julia decides to summon Eleanor, her mother and a dowser living in Vermont. Eleanor figures out the problem, but it will take more than a dowsing stick to uncover the secrets of the townhouse. A play about parents and children and how the past is never far away from the present.

BMA Teams with Rose Art Museum for U.S. Pavilion at the Venice Biennale

The Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University and The Baltimore Museum of Art (BMA) today announced that they will collaborate on the presentation of Mark Bradford as representative for the United States for the 2017 Venice Biennale. The two institutions will work in cooperation with the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
