Earlier this week, nominations for the 91st OSCARS- a ceremony that, for the first time in three decades, will not have a host. Now according to Variety, only two of the five Best Song nominees ('All the Stars' from Black Panther and 'Shallow' from A Star Is Born') will perform during the telecast. This means that the nominees from Mary Poppins Returns, RBG and The Ballad of Buster Scruggs won't get their time in the spotlight on February 24.

Last night, the Critics' Choice Awards were announced. Taking home the top prize of Best Picture was Roma. Also, in a surprising turn of events, both Lady Gaga and Glenn Close took home the award for Best Actress, for A Star is Born and The Wife, respectively.

Oprah Winfrey hosts “Oprah's SuperSoul Conversations from Times Square,” a live event at PlayStation Theater in New York City featuring inspiring thought leaders, modern day influencers and social game changers on Tuesday, February 5 at 2pm EST. The Guild of Music Supervisors unveiled the list of nominees for its 9th annual award show taking place on Wednesday, February 13th at The Theatre at Ace Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. Directors Guild of America President Thomas Schlamme today announced the five nominees for the DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Feature Film for 2018. 

 The Writers Guild of America West (WGAW) and the Writers Guild of America, East (WGAE) have announced nominations for outstanding achievement in screenwriting and videogame writing during 2018.
