Ariela Morgenstern & Asa Somers to Lead Penn State Centre Stage's NEXT TO NORMAL, 6/4-14

Penn State Centre Stage will present the regional premiere of Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey's powerful rock musical Next to Normal from June 4 - 14, 2014 in the Penn State Pavilion Theatre. Directed by Cary Libkin and starring Ariela Morgenstern, Asa Somers, Raymond Sage, Tommy Hart, Christina Kidd, and Gregory LaMontagne, Next To Normal tells the story of a mother struggling with worsening Bipolar Disorder and the dramatic effect that her illness has on her family. Previews at 7:30 p.m.: June 4 and 5; Evenings at 7:30 p.m.: June 10, 11, 12; Evenings at 8:00 p.m.: June 6, 7, 13, 14; Matinee at 2 p.m.: June 7. BWW Interviews: Broadway's James Tabeek Chats Going from Stage to Screen on THE RESIDUALS

Described by friend, and co-creator of THE RESIDUALS, Michael Paul Smith as the 'Unofficial Mayor of Midtown,' James Tabeek has appeared on Broadway in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, TABOO, and MARY POPPINS, and on tour with WICKED. However, recently, James has been subtly moving his career away from the stage towards screens of all sizes. His first step in this new direction was in the first season of the hit webseries THE RESIDUALS. The comedy tells the tumultuous stories of actors auditioning for commercials. James plays Devan, the assistant to hot-headed casting director Mark Lyell (played by SUBMISSIONS ONLY's Mark Gessner).

The Belgrade Theatre is thrilled to play host to a classic line-up of shows on the Main Stage this May including the West End sensation, Viva La Drag, the hit U.K concert show Rockin' On Heaven's Door and leading Beatles' tribute act, Beatlemania. STAGE TUBE: Liz McCartney Sings 'Talk Amongst Yourselves' at TABOO Reunion Concert!

Exactly ten years after closing on Broadway, Boy George's TABOO returned to New York for a very special two-night-only engagement benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The concert starred Matthew Rowland (Boy George) and Samuel Buttery (Leigh Bowery), both of whom reprised their performances from the 2012 revival of TABOO at the Brixton Clubhouse in London. Jeremy Kushnier (Footloose, Jersey Boys, Jesus Christ Superstar) took on the role of 'Philip Sallon.' In the video below, original 'Big Sue' Liz McCartney sings 'Talk Amongst Yourselves.'
