PALO ALTO, CA - Bowman International School, an innovative Montessori school serving K-8th grade students in Palo Alto, Calif., will host the first Bay Area appearance of the interactive, international art project, In Search of the Truth, on Saturday, September 20, from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. at 4000 Terman Drive. The public is invited to participate in this collaborative project designed to initiate cross-cultural communication through use of 'The Truth Booth' an iconic 17 foot high, 25 foot long, portable video recording studio shaped like a giant cartoon speech bubble with the word 'TRUTH' boldly printed on the side. The interior is designed for someone to sit down and have two minutes to video record their opinions and thoughts as they finish the statement: 'The truth is...'

When Evita premiered on Broadway in 1979, it sat in a similar position as it does now: in a medium known for lighter fare, it seeks to tell a fairly unusual tale. The Kennedy Center today announced casting for the Washington, D.C. engagement of Evita which runs in the Kennedy Center Opera House from September 30 to October 19, 2014. Directed by Tony and Olivier Award-winner Michael Grandage and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Rob Ashford, this is the first new Broadway production of the seven-time Tony Award-winning musical since it debuted on Broadway more than 30 years ago. The press opening night is Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 7:30 p.m.
Theater at Monmouth presents a world-premiere adaptation of Hannah Nyala's memoir Point Last Seen featuring Odelle Bowman tonight, August 14 at 7:30 p.m. Join Odelle Bowman for this work-in-progress presentation as she tells the story of Hannah Nyala, search and rescue tracker, who escapes an abusive marriage by teaching herself to track in the Mojave Desert. A post-performance discussion with the artists will follow the performance.
