Amazon Prime Video today released a powerful new trailer in anticipation of the original dramatic series Sneaky Pete, which will return for its second season on Friday, March 9. The critically-acclaimed Prime Original, a co-production with Sony Pictures Television Studios, revolves around a con man, Marius (Giovanni Ribisi, Avatar) who left prison only to find himself HUNTED by the VICIOUS gangster he once robbed.

Rock singer and former American Idol David Cook will be making his Broadway debut as Charlie Price in Kinky Boots this spring! Cook will begin performances on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. He will play a limited run through Saturday, May 5, 2018.

Circle Theatre's 2017-18 season will begin with the world premiere of THE CONDITION OF FEMME, an exploration of rape culture based on actual events in the lives of sexual assault survivors interviewed by playwright Lauren Marie Powell. The drama includes monologues delivered by 11 characters created from Powell's interviewees, as well as a central character called Reagan, who is a counselor for a sexual assault hotline.  Powell says, "Every character in the show is a fictionalized person based on those many testimonies, with verbatim quotes included throughout the piece. Most of the characters are an amalgamation of multiple testimonies around recurrent themes in their interviews. Reagan, based on a social worker and a rape-crisis hotline worker I interviewed, meets the 11 survivors through her work and ties their stories together."

Kinky Boots producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig announced today that Emmy Award-winner and Grammy Award nominee Wayne Brady will step back into his heels as 'Lola' in the Tony Award® -winning musical Kinky Boots at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street) beginning on Monday, March 5, 2018. He will play a strictly limited run through Friday, April 26, 2018.

It will take biographer Robert Caro five volumes to complete his portrait of Lyndon B. Johnson, so it's no surprise that there's a second LBJ play from Robert Schenkkan.

The nominees for the 2018 Helen Hayes Awards were announced on February 5, 2018. One of the country's most prestigious cultural honors, The Helen Hayes Awards recognizes and celebrates excellence in professional theatre throughout the Washington metropolitan area. The National Theatre's Helen Hayes Gallery set the scene for the announcement of nominees in 47 categories for artistic excellence, and the theatre companies eligible for the 2017 John Aniello Award for Outstanding Emerging Theatre Company. The recipient of the 2018 Helen Hayes Tribute will be announced shortly.

Chance Theater, Anaheim's official resident theater company, is pleased to announce its production of Violet, which will kick off its 20th Anniversary Season. The show has book and lyrics by Brian Crawley, music by Jeanine Tesori, direction and choreography by Kari Hayter, and musical direction by Robyn Manion. Everybody say yeah! Staring last night, February 2, Grammy Award-winner Kirstin Maldonado, of the hit acapella group Pentatonix, made her Broadway debut as 'Lauren' in Kinky Boots on Broadway.
