YOUNG PLAYERS presents SINGIN' IN THE RAIN, JR. ON STAGE AT THE ROYAL THEATRE, July 12-14, at 7 p.m. and July 14 and 15 at 2 p.m.

Kansas City Public Theatre (KCPublic) presents Medea: An American Tragedy by Nathan Bowman.  This production, in partnership with the Bruce R. Watkins Cultural Center, and Kansas City Parks and Recreation, presents the Greek tragedy as it was meant to be seen: outdoors at Brush Creek Amphitheater.  Medea will also appear as part of KC Fringe Festival, presented in part by American Family Insurance--Gary Woods Agency LLC.

NBC Sports Group surrounded the launch of the 2018 NASCAR on NBC season this week with more than 18 hours of trackside coverage from Chicagoland Speedway. Coverage was highlighted by this afternoon's Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race on NBCSN, which sawKyle Busch and the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota narrowly beat Kyle Larson in the final lap to take the checkered flag.

The streets are heating up in New York City as the Players Theatre Short Play and Musical Festival celebrates eight years of hot new plays that define it unique qualities. 15 writers from as far away as California participated in the festival of 15 minute slices of urban life. Each week a 'Best of the Week' play was selected and awarded a $100 prize.

Clackamas Repertory Theatre opens its 2018 season with Kate Hamill's new adaptation of "Sense and Sensibility," June 28 - July 22 at the Osterman Theatre in Oregon City. Kinky Boots producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig announced today that David Cook ("American Idol" Winner, 7th Season) will return to the role of 'Charlie Price' in the Tony Award-winning musical Kinky Boots at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street) beginning on Tuesday, July 17, 2018. He will play a limited run through Sunday, September 9, 2018. Cook succeeds Tyler Glenn (lead singer of the multi-platinum rock band, Neon Trees) who will play his last performance on Sunday, July 15, 2018.
