THE IRISH AND HOW THEY GOT THAT WAY Comes to GBSC

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with Greater Boston Stage Company at The Irish and How They Got That Way, created by Pulitzer Prize winning author, Frank McCourt (Angela's Ashes). This musical revue is a celebration of a heritage that confronts adversity with determination, good humor, and a love of life. McCourt's wit, insight and boundless love for the Irish are underscored by music extending from the auld Irish folk ballads to World War II standards, and beyond. Directed by Dawn Simmons, performances run March 8 - 25, 2018. The Press Opening is Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 3:00pm.

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company Announces Casting for ROMEO & JULIET

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company (CSC) announced today the complete cast of its 22nd production of Free Shakespeare on the Common, William Shakespeare's immortal drama Romeo & Juliet, directed by Allegra Libonati. Performances are free of charge, and will take place on the Boston Common, near the Parkman Bandstand.  

Boston Playwrights' Theatre to Present BOSTON THEATER MARATHON XIX

Boston Playwrights' Theatre (BPT) presents the 19th annual Boston Theater Marathon and the ninth year of The Warm-Up Laps. This year's Boston Theater Marathon features 50 ten-minute plays, written by 53 New England playwrights, and produced by 50 New England theatres in ten hours.

BWW Review: World Premiere of Homegrown FINISH LINE

FINISH LINE, a documentary play about the 2013 Boston Marathon, focuses on the people whose lives were impacted by the bombings, allowing their voices to be heard on the stage of the Boch Center Shubert Theatre. The world premiere production features a dozen actors who represent survivors, runners, doctors, rescuers, and media. Co-creators Joey Frangieh and Lisa Rafferty have taken great care to frame the play as a love letter to the Boston Marathon, the City of Boston, and her people.

???????The Boch Center announced today that starting Friday, March 17, 2017, it will offer a limited number of "pay what your heart feels" tickets for all upcoming performances of Finish Line: A Documentary Play About the 2013 Boston Marathon-running NOW through March 26, 2017 at the Shubert Theatre.
