The Smith Center for the Performing Arts announces an all-star summer line-up set to kick off in June. The summer will feature the legendary Broadway composer Stephen Sondheim, jazz songstress Diana Krall, instrumentalist Chris Botti, the multi-talented Steve Martin and many more. The songbook of Grammy Award winners David Hidalgo sand Louie Perez of Los Lobos drives Evangeline, the Queen of Make-Believe, a multimedia play with music by Theresa Chavez, Louie Perez and Rose Portillo that takes its title from the group's 1985 rocker "Evangeline." Chavez and Portillo co-direct the world premiere production for About Productions, opening at the Bootleg Theater on May 12 for a limited, three-week engagement through May 27. The Fox Theatre Celebrates 20 Years in March

On March 6th, 1992 the Fox Theatre opened its doors in Boulder, Colorado with a performance by the Meters. In a statement, the Theatre said: 'The Fox Theatre family is honored The Funky Meters will return to lead the celebration on March 1st to kick off the legendary venue's 20th anniversary month. Anniversaries are an opportunity to bring family together, therefore The Fox is excited for Leftover Salmon to perform on March 6th & 7th. The Boulder based 'Polyethnic Cajun Slamgrass' band paved the way for the national jamgrass scene.

The Castillo Theatre is reviving the Fred Newman-Annie Roboff musical, Sally and Tom (The American Way) for a six-week run from February 17 through March 25. The musical is being directed by Gabrielle L. Kurlander, whose production Playing With Heiner Müller received a 2011 Vivian Robinson/AUDELCO Recognition Award For Excellence in Black Theatre for outstanding ensemble performance. Musical direction is by David Belmont, choreography by Lonné Moretton. The Castillo Theatre is located at 543 West 42nd Street, between 10th and 11th Avenues.
