Disney Theatrical Productions has just announced that Morgantown, WV native Trevor Dion Nicholas, who is currently starring as 'Genie' in the London West End production of Aladdin, will come home to play the iconic role in Pittsburgh, where the hit Broadway musical will play a three-week engagement from August 22 - September 9, 2018 at the Benedum Center. Additional casting for the Pittsburgh engagement will be announced at a later time. This tour is part of the 2017-2018 PNC Broadway in Pittsburgh series, presented by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, and Broadway Across America.

The masterclass will be held Wednesday, June 20 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Tulsa Ballet studios located at 1212 E 45th Place in Tulsa. AN AMERICAN IN PARIS Dance Captain Christopher Howard will lead local metro Tulsa area dance students ages 14 and up in an advanced level workshop. Disney's Aladdin is celebrating a sold-out, two-week premiere engagement in Cincinnati, which concluded on June 10 at the Aronoff Center. The touring production, which the Cincinnati Enquirer called, "an outright spectacle; glitzy, playful, sassy and extravagant," grossed over $2.8 million at the box office and entertained more than 40,000 theatergoers during 16 performances.

Disney Theatrical Productions and Shea's Performing Arts Center announced today that tickets for the long-awaited engagement of Disney'sAladdin will go on sale to the public on Friday, June 15 at 10 a.m. The hit Broadway musical will begin performances at Shea's Buffalo Theatre on Wednesday, Aug. 8 for a limited engagement of 12 days through Sunday, Aug. 19. Opening night is Friday, Aug. 10 at 8 p.m., with preview performances of the same production taking place Aug. 8 and 9.
