Lynn Meyers, Producing Artistic Director of Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati, announced today that ETC will host a stage reading of 'Soldiers' Christmas,' a new play based on The Christmas Truce of 1914, on June 28, 2014 at 7:30 PM at Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati, 1127 Vine St., Cincinnati, OH 45202. The reading will be directed by Bob Allen and is part of Cincinnati Remembers World War I, a year-long community arts celebration sponsored by Cincinnati Opera. Admission is $10. OSU Composer, Teacher and Musician, Mark Flugge, Dies at 52

Following a valiant 22-month struggle, Mark Flugge succumbed to major undiagnosed hearing issues and depression early Sunday morning, May 11. He expressed the hope that his music will live on, and heartfelt love to all of his many friends, family, students, and colleagues. A private service is being scheduled, with a public memorial concert in celebration of his life and music at a later date.

Thus begins "The Next Table," one of five one-act plays that comprise "Love Knots (a love-fest of short plays)" by playwright Philip Paradis, premiering at the 9th annual Cincinnati Fringe Festival, which runs May 29-June 9.
