Sound Theatre Company continues their summer of provocative theatre with the Seattle premiere of Andrew Lippa's sexy and searing THE WILD PARTY, a musical inspired by Joseph Moncure March's banned 1928 poem about the excesses of the Jazz Age. For all who enjoy Rent or Chicago, this dark, erotic descent is a must-see. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast below!
THE WILD PARTY previews August 8th and continues through August 25th at the Center Theatre at the Seattle Center Armory (Formerly the Seattle Center House Theatre). Tickets can be purchased at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/362552 or see www.soundtheatrecompany.org for more information.
God has heard our prayers. He knew we were all longing for some hot guys to come and teach us all about his divine wisdom and make us laugh along the way. And so he has sent us the Seattle Musical Theatre production of 'Altar Boyz' to show us the path. Not only do they have some incredible voices, sexy gyrations and hilarious characters but these Boyz and director Troy Wageman managed to make the Boyz more personable and empathetic than I've seen in previous productions, making their story all the more meaningful.
Voting is now underway for the Seattle Awards and continues until December 31, 2012. Winners will be announced in early January. Check out the live standings below.

Seattle Musical Theatre is presenting the hilarious send up of old style musical theater with "The Drowsy Chaperone". And while the show was enjoyable and one of the better things I've seen with SMT, it left me a little wanting.
