In celebration of the 400th anniversary of the year Galileo first turned his telescope upward and changed the way human beings thought of their place in the cosmos, Catalyst Collaborative @ MIT and Underground Railway Theater present Bertolt Brecht's The Life of Galileo! Playing Friday, April 10 through Sunday, May 17 at Central Square Theater, this production of The Life of Galileo, Brecht's widely acclaimed masterpiece of science theater, is translated by David Hare, directed by David Wheeler, and stars Boston area favorite Richard McElvain in the title role. Press night is set for Thursday, April 16 at 7:30 PM.

Florida Studio Theatre opens Frank Higgins' Black Pearl Sings in its continuation of the Winter Mainstage Season. Work shopped at Florida Studio Theatre last spring, Black Pearl Sings! 'Connects us to our heritage, our culture, and each other, while asking the simple question: who owns culture?' stated Richard Hopkins, FST Artistic Director.

Variety is reporting that 'About a Boy' director Paul Weitz is in talks to direct 'Little Fockers', the third instalment of the 'Meet the Parents' franchise. 'Get Smart' helmer Pete Segal was in talks to direct 'Little Fockers' but it now looks as if Weitz is the front runner.

The Directors Company production of Irena's Vow, the new play by Dan Gordon, starring four-time Tony nominee, and three-time Drama Desk Award-winner Tovah Feldshuh, and directed by Michael Parva, opened on Broadway last night, Sunday, March 29th. The play, directed by Karen Carpenter, is about clothes and the memories they trigger. The March 9th Cast includes Kelly Bishop, Susie Essman, Kristen Wiig, Sarah Jones and June Diane Raphael

'We are looking for interns nationwide and apprentices locally who are multi-talented and true team players,' said Ms. Baron. 'Internships and apprenticeships serve as a springboard to young people interested in theater.'
