The producers of Blithe Spirit are pleased to announce the show will play The Shubert Theatre (225 West 44th Street). Rehearsals are scheduled to begin Monday, January 26, 2009 with the first performance on Thursday, February 26, 2009.

Tony Award winner and Grammy Award-nominated singer-songwriter/composer Duncan Sheik will perform selections from his hit musical 'Spring Awakening,' winner of eight 2007 Tony Awards including Best Musical, along with captivating original materials, in a concert on Friday, November 14, 8 p.m.

The production will honor the late Paul Newman, who was married to Westport's Artistic Director Joanne Woodward and who participated in many Westport Playhouse productions.

At the beginning of the month rumors began circulating that Noel Coward's play Blithe Spirit will have life on Broadway this upcoming Spring season. The play will be produced by the same group behind August: Osage County and the currently in previews Speed-The-Plow.

FoxNews.com is reporting that Richard Gere will be joining Debra Winger in the rumored upcoming revival of Guess Who's Coming To Dinner? It was previously rumored that Bill Pullman will be playing the lead role opposite Winger but is now reportedly unable to because of a conflict in schedule. If Gere resumes the role it will be the first time him and Ms. Winger are reuniting since their film 'An Officer and a Gentleman'.
