The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will host a book signing for the launch of Tony Brown's Elvis, Strait, to Jesus: An Iconic Producer's Journey with Legends of Rock 'N' Roll, Country & Gospel Music (Center Street, May 1, 2018) on Thursday, May 3rd at 1:00PM in the museum's 5th Avenue lobby.

The Madison Square Garden Company announced today the unprecedented 59th consecutive show by legendary musician and MSG franchise Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden on December 19, 2018. The December show is part of his residency at The World's Most Famous Arena, which began in January 2014 with Joel playing one show per month at The Garden. The December 2018 show will be Joel's 105th all-time performance at The Garden. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, May 4 at 10:00AM (EST). Due to high levels of congestion during the on-sale time, it can often be difficult to purchase tickets right away. ASCAP, the American Society of Composers Authors and Publishers, hosted its 35th Annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards on Monday, April 23, recognizing four impressive songwriting talents with a 2018 ASCAP Pop Music Songwriter of the Year award, each for their individual achievement in crafting some of the most popular songs of 2017. Steve Mac won for 'Shape of You' (Ed Sheeran), 'Strip That Down' (Liam Payne ft. Quavo), 'Rockabye' (Clean Bandit ft. Sean Paul) and 'What About Us' (P!nk); Max Martin, receiving the award for an unprecedented 11th time, for 'Side To Side' (Ariana Grande), 'Can't Stop The Feeling!' (Justin Timberlake), 'Send My Love' (Adele) and 'Just Like Fire' (P!nk); Starrah for 'Now or Never' (Halsey), 'Fake Love' (Drake), 'What Lovers Do' (Maroon 5 ft. SZA) and 'Havana' (Camila Cabello); and Drew Taggart for '1-800-273-8255' (Logic ft. Alessia Cara and Khalid) in addition to three hits by his band, The Chainsmokers: 'Something Just Like This' (ft. ASCAP, The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, the world leader in performing rights and advocacy for music creators, announced record-high revenues and distributions in 2017. The organization, which today represents more than 660,000 members, collected approximately $1.144 billion in revenues last year and distributed for the first time more than $1.007 billion to its songwriter, composer and music publisher members. Total ASCAP revenues increased by 8 percent and distributions were up 10 percent year-over-year.

A new song is out called "We Sing for Martin Luther King," featuring acclaimed musicians Liz Queler on lead vocals, Seth Farber on piano, organ, vocals, and Joey Farber on guitar, bass, and drums, based on lyrics and music written by poet and writer Holly Peppe in 1968. As the date of April 4 th, 2018 marks the 50 th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.'s passing, Dr. King's inspiring work and dream of peace, unity, social equality and justice continue to remain as important as ever in the struggles facing our nation today.
