Chris Pinnella Comes to Asbury Park, 7/28
The House of Independents, located on Cookman Avenue in Asbury Park, NJ - presents Nationally Acclaimed vocalist Chris Pinnella (Trans-Siberian Orchestra) on SATURDAY JULY 28TH as he premieres , 'Re-Define. Re-Imagine.' an evening featuring Pinnella's powerhouse vocals, a 15-Piece Orchestra and stunning original arrangements by familiar artists you know and love.

Songs in the set vary from down right cinematic with their gorgeous and powerful mash up of Lucio Dalla's 'Caruso' with Michel Colombier's 'Emmanuel' to the high energy, Herbie Hancock inspired, 'Machine'. While others, like Pinnella's stripped down version of Springsteen's 'If I Should Fall Behind' begins a- cappella, in four part harmony and features each of his 3 supremely talented back-up singers in all their vocal glory. His arrangement of Billy Joel's 'And So It Goes' just utilizing string quartet and voice is hauntingly sublime and the singer's interpretation of the Leonard Cohen classic 'Hallelujah' brings the audience to their feet. Other artists on the bill for the evening include Jeff Buckley, Jimmy Webb, Josh Groban, James Bay, Andrea Bocelli, The Righteous Brothers, Ennico Morricone, and yes, Led Zeppelin.

Michael Pinnella of the prog-metal group Symphony X will be on piano and keyboards for the evening. The group's previous performances included Amanda Lo, violinist of the L.A. based Vitamin String Quartet while Emily Hope Price, Isabel Hagen, and Gabryel Smith rounded out the string section with Mark Cocheo & Juan Julio O'Grady on Guitars, Scott Churchman on Bass, Danny Borg on Drums and Luca Provenzano & Joe Gullace on Saxophone and Trumpet and featured Keith Fluitt, Ramona Dunlap, and LuJuan Carter Dent on Background Vocals.

Ticketmaster writes, 'Pinnella has been compared to vocal superstars Josh Groban and Michael Buble, but there is no doubt about the fact that Pinnella has a style that is completely his own. His strikingly rich baritone and stage charisma is unmatched.' Grab your tickets for an unbelievable evening of music.
