Atlantic Theater Company has announced casting for the world premiere play The Penitent, by Atlantic's Pulitzer Prize-winning co-founder David Mamet, directed by artistic director Neil Pepe.

As part of the upcoming New York Comedy Festival, the Friars Club, the New York Comedy Festival and Producer Rick Newman will present a Comedy Writers Round Table III on Wednesday, November 3rd at 8:30pm at The Friars Club (57 E. 55th St.).

La Jolla Playhouse presents the world-premiere production of Miss You Like Hell, book and lyrics by Pulitzer Prize winner Quiara Alegria Hudes (In the Heights, Water by the Spoonful), music and lyrics by acclaimed singer/songwriter Erin McKeown, directed by Lear deBessonet (Public Theatre's The Odyssey) and choreographed by Danny Mefford(Broadway's Fun Home).

The NYSC will hold its special 25th Anniversary Celebration on Thursday, November 17, 2016, with two showcases that evening:  one at 7:30 and the other at 10:00 PM. The event will include a live performance by Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee, John Oates, Grammy Award winner and Broadway star of Kinky Boots, Billy Porter, among performances by other esteemed singer-songwriters.

On Monday night, the biggest names from Broadway and Hollywood took the stage for aHillary Clinton fundraiser- STRONGER TOGETHER. One of the highlights of the event, which took place at New York's St. James Theatre, featured Tony Award winners Lin-Manuel Miranda and his Hamilton co-star Renee Elise Goldsberry, performing a revised election-themed version of the musical's, 'Ten Duel Commandments.' The star-studded show featured never-before-seen duets and appearances from Julia Roberts, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Hugh Jackman, Sarah Jessica Parker, Matthew Broderick, Emily Blunt, Neil Patrick Harris, Helen Mirren and many more. In addition, Former President Bill Clinton and Chelsea Clinton were on hand to speak to the crowd.
