A celebration of Women's History Month, featuring the premiere of the chamber version of composer Richard Danielpour's A Woman's Life, based on texts by Maya Angelou about a lifetime's journey, and a rare performance of pioneering African-American composer William Grant Still's From the Hearts of Women, with texts by his wife, Verna Arvey

The AUDELCO and Obie Award-winning Billie Holiday Theatre continues its 39th season with the world premiere of The Legend of Buster Neal, written and directed by Jackie Alexander. The new play will close March 27 at the 200-seat Billie Holiday Theatre, Restoration Plaza, 1368 Fulton Street, Brooklyn.

What a surprise it was to see a photo of E. Faye Butler in the March 18, 2011 edition of the national publication 'The Week' in which she stars in the musical Working at the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place in Chicago.

Times Square's landmark concert venue, will present one of America's classic singer-songwriters, DON McLEAN on Friday, March 25th at 8PM. McLean is forever associated with his classic hits 'American Pie' and 'Vincent (Starry Starry Night)'. Since first hitting the charts in 1971, he has amassed over 40 gold and platinum records world-wide and, in 2004, was inducted into the Songwriters' Hall of Fame.

According to Access Hollywood, music legend Diana Ross is set to stop by 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' on February 25. She will perform 'I'm Coming Out,' and will be joined by her children and grandson

Valencia's Symphonic Band, under the direction of Mike Davis, and Jazz Lab Band, with direction by Chris Dolske, will perform at the East Campus Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. Musical selections will include de Meij's program symphony 'Lord of the Rings' inspired by the J.R.R. Tolkien novel, a Louis Armstrong tribute, and popular standards such as Billie Holiday's 'God Bless the Child' and Frank Sinatra's 'Fly Me to the Moon' sung by student vocalists.

The Town Hall's critically acclaimed Broadway by the Year's®11th Season continues with The Broadway Musicals of 1932, a year that brought us famous shows by musical theater icons such as Kern and Hammerstein (Music in the Air), Irving Berlin, (Face the Music), Cole Porter (Gay Divorce) and Dietz and Schwarz (Flying Colors), among others. Produced by The Town Hall, The Broadway Musicals of 1932 was created, written and hosted by Scott Siegel. Siegel took the audience on a musical travelogue, exploring the history of the Great White Way and providing social anecdotes while showcasing the beloved hits and lesser-known gems from the golden age of Broadway. The show was directed by Scott Coulter and choreographed by Jeffry Denman, who both performed in the show as well. Ross Patterson was the musical director. The Irish Arts Center, in association with Performance Space 122, proudly presents Mimic, a one-man play written and performed by 'one of Ireland's most exciting new theatrical voices' Raymond Scannell, and directed and designed by Tom Creed, 'one of the most accomplished and productive Irish theatre-makers of the decade', who last month directed the Gate production of Samuel Beckett's Watt at New York's Public Theater.

Woods (One Life to Live), Sean Ringgold (One Life to Live), Marja Harmon (The Lion King, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Aida), playwright/actor Layon Gray (creator of Black Angels Over Tuskegee), Delano Barbosa (Black Angels Over Tuskegee), and actors Jamil A.C. Mangan and Warner Miller.
