Catalina Bar & Grill will present "A Birthday Tribute To Billie Holiday" starring Billie Holiday's pianist Corky Hale and singer Freda Payne, with Special Guest, singer Tricia Tahara for One Night Only!!! Carbonell nominated actress and acclaimed jazz artist Paulette Dozier will star as Billie Holiday in Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill, playwright Lanie Robertson's portrait of the legendary jazz singer in performance four months before her death. The play, which will be produced by the Boca Raton Theatre Guild, will run for four performances only - April 27-29th at the Willow Theatre in Sugar Sand Park. Additional performances have been added for Saturday May 5 at 2 and 8pm and Sunday May 6 at 2 pm.

The Town Hall's (123 West 43rd Street) critically acclaimed Broadway by the Year's® 12th Season continues with The Broadway Musicals of 1975 on Monday, May 14th at 8PM. 1975 was a year that brought us famous shows by musical theater icons including Marvin Hamlisch, (A Chorus Line), John Kander and Fred Ebb (Chicago), and Richard O'Brien (The Rocky Horror Show), among others. Produced by The Town Hall, The Broadway Musicals of 1975 is created, written and hosted by Scott Siegel.

The Stoller-Filer Health Center, the newest Planned Parenthood Los Angeles facility, to be located at 11722 South Wilmington Avenue, Compton, CA 90059, will celebrate its Grand Opening on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, Sue Dunlap, President of Planned Parenthood Los Angeles announced today. "The new health center will be named after the renowned Jazz Pianist, Harpist and Singer, Corky Hale Stoller and her Grammy Award winning husband, Mike Stoller of Leiber & Stoller fame, along with the late Compton Civic Leader, Maxcy Dean Filer, who was affectionately known as 'Mr. Compton,'" Dunlap said.

Supported by a superb 10-piece orchestra (including six horn players), Catherine Russell's set at the Allen Room for Jazz at Lincoln Center was a tribute to songs her dad Luis recorded or performed with the great Louis Armstrong from the late 1920s through the 1930s. A portion of the proceeds from each sale will be donated to Childhelp for the treatment and prevention of child abuse.
