DC's remarkable jazz vocalist Sharón Clark, steps off a musical cliff this month as she brings back her daring new show 'Blame it on My Youth' for four nights at the Metropolitan Room from tonight, January 22 to February 2.

Anton Floyd, Jaime Lincoln Smith and Terrell Wheeler will star in Luna Stage's world premiere of Carnaval, Obie-Award winning playwright Nikkole Salter's provocative new play about the demand side of sexual tourism. Floyd, Smith and Wheeler, three young African-American actors, were attracted to the contemporary nature of the play upon first read, and impressed with Salter's ability to write from a male perspective.

The Monterey Jazz Festival on Tour 55th Anniversary Celebration makes its way to Segerstrom Center for the Arts today, January 13 in the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. Centenary Stage Company will be presenting its annual JANUARY JAZZ FEST in the Sitnik Theatre on Saturday, January 12th, 19th, and 26th. This year's festival includes a tribute to Benny Goodman, a celebration of legendary female vocalists like Anita O'Day and Julie London, and a revival of gypsy jazz by The Hot Club of Detroit.
