BILL W. AND DR. BOB by Samuel Shem and Janet Surrey is the next production of Open Stage of Harrisburg's 29th season. It is also the premiere production of the play in the area.

The EverGreen Theatre Ensemble, an engagement theater company based in Naperville, will present a radio-style version of 'Bill W. and Dr. Bob' by Dr. Samuel Shem and Dr. Janet Surrey, opening tonight, Oct. 10 at the Center Stage Theater, 1665 Quincy Ave. Suite 143 in Naperville.

Tucked away in a cozy theatre, off of Martin Street, lives a small theatre company that opened its fifteenth season this past weekend. Encore Studio for the Performing Arts opened this new season with a series of retrospective shorts that looked back on some of the most powerful, thought provoking, or downright goofy pieces that the company has had to offer.

Trustus Theatre announced their 30th Anniversary season to a standing-room crowd at Tapps Arts Center on June 5th, 2014. Managing Director Larry Hembree and Artistic Director Dewey Scott-Wiley revealed the shows coming to the Thigpen Main Stage and Richard and Debbie Cohn Side Door Theatre in the 2014/2015 Season. This season is celebration of the tenants that have made Trustus the premiere professional theatre in Columbia: producing diverse modern theatre and original works with the highest quality casts.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey's 52nd Season opens with The Tempest, Shakespeare's final great work. Performances begin May 28th and continue through June 22nd at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre, 36 Madison Ave. (at Lancaster Road) in Madison. Performances are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays at 7:30 p.m.; Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m.; and Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m. Individual tickets range from $15 to $75.

The Hazelden Foundation presents the off-Broadway production of BILL W. AND DR. BOB by Samuel Shem and Janet Surrey. Tickets are now on sale. Performances began Monday, July 8, 2013 at the Soho Playhouse in New York City. Opening night is tonight, July 16, 2013.

The new NYC production of Bill W. and Dr. Bob, about the founding of AA, begins tonight, July 8 at the Soho Playhouse. Seth Gordon (Associate Artistic Director, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis; Producer/Director Primary Stages, NYC; director of the acclaimed production of Bill W. and Dr. Bob at the Cleveland Play House in 2010) will direct an ensemble of actors who have garnered acclaim on and off Broadway.
