New York Live Arts presents the world premiere of Elena Demyanenko and Dai Jian's Blue Room, today, February 13 - 15 at 7:30pm in the New York Live Arts Theater. Also on the bill will be the world premiere of Raw Nerves, a solo by Demyanenko in collaboration with performer Leah Morrison, and Deja Ve - As a solo, a work by Dai Jian featuring Jian and dancer Austin Selden.

Venetia Stifler, Executive and Artistic Director of the Ruth Page Center for the Arts and The 2014 Ruth Page Award Committee has announced its selection for this year's Ruth Page Award. For her tireless dedication to teaching young dancers for almost 30 years not only the discipline of the art form, but also the importance of community philanthropy and citizenship, Diane Rawlinson has been selected as the 2014 Ruth Page Award recipient.

AFTER MIDNIGHT, currently playing at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, just welcomed k.d. lang as its special guest star. Lang will continue her Broadway run through March 9. The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts announced today that AXIS Dance Company, one of the world's most acclaimed and innovative ensembles, will perform one night only on Friday, March 21 at 7:30 pm at the Ordway. Under the artistic direction of Judith Smith, the company of seven dancers-with and without disabilities-challenges the possibilities of movement, expanding and enriching the art form itself.

New York Live Arts has announced an array of winter and spring events for the Suitcase Fund, Live Arts' signature international artist and cultural exchange program. Events include Research Presentations by Serbian artists Saša Asenti?& Ana Vujanovi?, as well as Marijana Cvetkovi? Markovi? and Miki Braniste; and a two week research residency by South African choreographers Thabiso Pule & Thami Hector Manekhla, in partnership with Movement Research.

Pam Tanowitz Dance makes its long awaited Joyce Theater debut from tonight, February 4 - 6. Presented by The Joyce Theater Foundation, this engagement will include a program of two new works by Tanowitz, a choreographer known for creating work that juxtaposes ballet with classic modern dance. The pieces, both world premieres, will feature live accompaniment.

Genre-defying singing sensation Bilal performs an intimate concert at the Harlem Stage Gatehouse on February 21, backed by musical powerhouse the Revive Big Band. Fans of the eclectic, Grammy-nominated artist - known for solo hits "Soul Sista" and "Fast Lane," and for collaborations with The Roots, Erykah Badu, Beyonce and Common - will see a different side of the singer at this performance. Bilal constantly pushes the boundaries of music with a repertoire that spans soul, jazz, hip hop, rock, blues, electronic and more; this show highlights his classical musical training and deep connection to diverse music, with big-band-style arrangements of his hits alongside imaginative covers and rarely heard tunes.

New York Live Arts will present the Studio Series showing of Sam Kim's Sister to a Fiend tonight, January 31 and Saturday, February 1 at 6:00pm in the third floor studios at New York Live Arts.

New York Live Arts presents the U.S. premiere of Kimberly Bartosik/daela's You are my heat and glare, February 26 - March 1 at 7:30pm in the third floor studios at New York Live Arts. Hailed by Dance Magazine as "one of the most intriguing descendants of Merce Cunningham," New York Dance and Performance "Bessie" Award-winning Bartosik, along with six other award-winning performers, take to the stage in this multi-disciplinary production created especially for the New York Live Arts studios.

New York Live Arts will present the world premieres of niv Acosta's i shot denzel and Tess Dworman's macromen during a shared evening of new work, today, January 30 - February 1, 2014, at 7:30pm.

Coming up on Friday, February 28 at 9:00PM EST, PBS will present the national, TV broadcast premiere of Jazz and the Philharmonic, a co-production by the National YoungArts Foundation-a national organization that identifies and supports the next generation of artists-the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County, Frost School of Music at the University of Miami, and JAZZ ROOTS Producer Larry Rosen. Jazz and the Philharmonic was presented and filmed at the John S. and James L. Knight Concert Hall at the Adrienne Arsht Center on January 11, 2013 and is a unique and wholly American concert experience which highlights two of the greatest musical art forms, classical and jazz. The Joffrey Academy of Dance, Official School of The Joffrey Ballet, presents the fourth annual Winning Works: Choreographers of Color Award, featuring three World Premieres by rising-star choreographers Justin Allen, Stephanie Batten Bland and Norbert De La Cruz III. The three World Premieres, along with Academy Co-Artistic Director Alexei Kremnev's restaging of Le Roi S'Amuse, are performed by the international members of the Joffrey Academy Trainee Program at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance, 205 East Randolph Drive, one night only, Saturday, March 1 at 7:00 pm.

New York Live Arts presents the U.S. premiere of Ana Vujanovi and Saša Asenti's On Trial Together, February 20 - 22 at 7:30pm in the New York Live Arts Theater. Called "deeply intelligent" by the Exberliner, the work is a hybrid performance of theater, choreography and social experiment, creating a unique experience exclusive to each evening.
