Gingold Theatrical Group's PROJECT SHAW, under the leadership of Artistic Director, David Staller, presented George Bernard Shaw's 1895 comedy, Candida, yesterday, November 25, at Symphony Space's Leonard NimoyThalia Theatre (2895 Broadway at 95th St.). Directed by David Staller, Candida featured Tony Award nominees Judy Kuhn (Candida) and Douglas Sills (Morell), with Brandon J. Vukovic (a recent Brown/Trinity grad) as Marchbanks, Alison Cimmet (The Mystery of Edwin Drood) as Prossy, Bill Kux (The Trip to Bountiful) as Burgess, Jordan Coughtry (Shakespeare Theatre of NJ Our Town) as Lexy. Cynthia Stillwell Casting has put out a call on Backstage.com for the Lifetime film version of "The Trip to Bountiful," starring Vanessa Williams and Cicely Tyson. According to the project description, "A woman's determination to go home one last time restores hope and faith to her family."

The critically acclaimed revival of Horton Foote's American masterpiece, The Trip to Bountiful, closes today, October 9, starring the legendary Cicely Tyson in her Tony Award-winning performance of a lifetime.

Directed by Michael Wilson, THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL is currently playing at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre (124 W 43rd Street) through October 9, 2013. The critically acclaimed revival of Horton Foote's American masterpiece, THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL, will host a special free talkback following the performance on Tuesday, September 17 with acclaimed news anchor Dan Rather. New York Times reporter Wilborn Hampton will interview Mr. Rather about his friendship with playwright Horton Foote and their shared hometown of Wharton, TX the real life Bountiful. All ticket holders for the evening performance on September 17th are invited to stay for the talkback.

According to a source within the production, the Obama ladies slipped into their seats just prior to the beginning of the show, though received a 'huge ovation' when they returned at intermission for the second act. After the curtain call, the Obamas went backstage and met the cast and crew, including Cuba Gooding, Jr., Vanessa Williams, and Tyson.

Academy Award winner CUBA GOODING JR. will give his final performance in the critically acclaimed revival of Horton Foote's American masterpiece, THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL, on Tuesday, August 27th, due to a change in schedule for an upcoming film project. Gooding made his Broadway debut in the acclaimed revival and can currently be seen nationwide in the hit film, Lee Daniels' The Butler.

ADEPERO ODUYE will assume the role of Thelma in the critically acclaimed revival of Horton Foote's American masterpiece, THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL, on Tuesday, July 16th. Oduye is best known for her acclaimed breakout role in Dee Ree's Sundance film, Pariah, and for her performance opposite Queen Latifah, Alfre Woodard and Phylicia Rashad in the Lifetime Television movie, Steel Magnolias. Condola Rashad, who also co-starred with Oduye in Steel Magnolias, played her final performance as Thelma on Sunday, July 14.

THE TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL, which had been scheduled for a 14-week limited engagement through July 7, will extend eight additional weeks and will now run through September 1, 2013.
