As previously reported, multiple Emmy Award winning legend Betty White will host NBC's Saturday Night Live on May 8. White will make her first appearance in Studio 8H. The episode will will feature Saturday Night Live alumni Rachel Dratch, Ana Gastever, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Molly Shannon, and Maya Rudolkph. FELA! producer Jay-Z will be the musical guest. Blondie, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees, and the pioneers of rock and new wave, will be honored at the '8th Annual TV Land Awards' that will be held on Saturday, April 17th, 2010 on the historic stage 15 of the Sony Studios Culver City lot. The band will receive the Icon Award for its contributions to music and pop culture through their long and successful career in the music industry. In addition to receiving the Icon Award, the band will be performing one of their classic hits. The TV Land Awards premieres on Sunday, April 25th at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.

NBC unfurls its Spring sweeps with a banner full of special episodes along with the broadcast return of 'Friday Night Lights' (May 7, 8-9 p.m. ET) and the live finales of 'The Biggest Loser' (May 25, 8-10 p.m. ET) and 'The Celebrity Apprentice' (two-parter, May 16 and May 23, 9-11 p.m. ET both nights).

TV Land Greenlights 'RETIRED AT 35' Starring George Segal

TV Land announced today that it has greenlit 10 episodes of the original sitcom 'Retired At 35' starring esteemed comedy and drama actor George Segal. The sitcom is a TV Land PRIME original production and is the network's second venture into scripted comedy series along with 'Hot in Cleveland,' which premieres on June 16, 2010. Chris Case ('Reba,' 'Spin City') is the writer for 'Retired at 35' and serves as an executive producer. Michael Hanel and Mindy Schultheis ('Rita Rocks,' 'Reba,' 'Titus') are also executive producers.

TV Land kicks off the summer in a sizzling way with exciting new PRIME originals including the long-anticipated sitcom 'Hot in Cleveland,' an unforgettable tribute to director/producer Mike Nichols, the addition of the hilarious sitcom 'The Nanny' and unforgettable movies. It all kicks off on May 5th with the second season premiere of 'How'd You Get So Rich?' starring the hilarious Joan Rivers. Then, on June 16th, from the writer of 'Frasier' - Suzanne Martin - and produced by Sean Hayes ('Will & Grace'), TV Land debuts the first scripted sitcom for the network, 'Hot in Cleveland' starring Valerie Bertinelli, Wendie Malick, Jane Leeves and Betty White. TV Land announced today that it has signed Emmy(R) Award-winning and audience-adored actress Betty White to star in the highly-anticipated TV Land PRIME Original sitcom 'Hot in Cleveland' scheduled to premiere in June. Betty White will take on the role of the snarky but lovable Elka Ostrovsky, property caretaker of the home that co-stars - Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick - rent after their plane makes an emergency landing in Cleveland and they decide to stay.
