The Marvelous Wonderettes are back! The long-running Off-Broadway hit musical celebrated its opening night at New York's Theatre Row last night, April 28th. The show, featuring such classic fifties and sixties hits as 'Lollipop,' 'Dream Lover,' 'Stupid Cupid,' 'Son of a Preacher Man,' 'Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me,' and 'It's My Party,' stars Christina Bianco as Missy, Kathy Brier as Suzy, Jenna Leigh Green as Cindy Lou, and Sally Schwab as Betty Jean. Laura Woyasz also stars as the 'Wonderstudy'. On Monday, April 18, the Theater People podcast welcomes Five-time Tony Award-nominee, Danny Burstein. Burstein, currently staring as Tevye in the Broadway revival of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, began his career on Broadway in the early 1990s working mostly as an ensemble member and understudy. On Monday, April 4, the Theater People podcast welcomes ON YOUR FEET star Andrea Burns. Burns made her professional New York debut in Jason Robert Brown's groundbreaking 1995 musical SONGS FOR A NEW WORLD. She then made her Broadway debut in 1996 as a replacement in the role of Belle in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST and went on to co-star in the Broadway productions of THE FULL MONTY and THE RITZ.

THE 69TH ANNUAL TONY AWARDS is among the nominees for this year's WEBBY AWARDS. The show was recognized for its exemplary integrated digital experience, including a red-carpet live stream and social-media coverage.

Producers have announced that Fun Home, the groundbreaking, Tony Award-winning Best Musical, has launched a partnership with the national nonprofit oral history project StoryCorps, on the occasion of the show's one-year anniversary on Broadway.

Luker adds FUN HOME to her long list of Broadway credits, which already includes THE SECRET GARDEN, THE SOUND OF MUSIC, THE MUSIC MAN, MARY POPPINS, CINDERELLA, and many more. A new live-action/animated TV spot for Broadway's Fun Home features new drawings by graphic artist Alison Bechdel, whose memoir inspired the Tony-winning musical. The ad is titled 'Welcome' and captures the up-close, intimate nature of the show. Check it out below before it starts airing on TV tomorrow!
