Beth Falcone and Kait Kerrigan have received the 19th Annual Kleban Award. In honor of Edward Kleban, this award is given annually to both a librettist and a lyricist. The award is in the amount of $100,000 to each recipient.

The BMI Foundation, Inc. is proud to announce the publication of 'The BMI Workshop Songbook,' a piano/vocal folio featuring 20 new, never-before released songs written by members and alumni of the Tony-honored BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop, including Robert Lopez (Avenue Q), Maury Yeston (Nine), Tom Kitt (Next To Normal), Michael John LaChiusa (The Wild Party, Giant), and many more. The Tony® Honored BMI-Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop announces its Spring Smoker, a semi-annual showcase for new songs from Workshop writers. Sibling Entertainment Group Holdings, Inc. announced the critically acclaimed musical Hats! opens at Harrah's Las Vegas on January 12, 2008.

Hats!, a new musical previously seen in Denver and New Orleans, opened at the Royal George Theatre in Chicago on April 29th for a run through June 10th.

Melissa Manchester, one of the composers involved in Hats!, will be featured as a star of the new musical's Chicago premiere.
