Geva Theatre Center's 2011-2012 Season gets off to a heartwarming start with On Golden Pond by Ernest Thompson, which begins performances on September 6 and runs in the Elaine P. Wilson Mainstage through October 2.

The Carbonell Awards recognize Florida's best stage productions and those behind them. This year, the awards' 35th, the Actors' Playhouse production of MISS SAIGON leads the pack with 11 nominations, followed by 7 nominations for the controversial play BLASTED, the Miami Herald reports.

Directed by Tony Award winner John Doyle (Sweeney Todd, Company), WINGS began previews at Second Stage Theatre (305 West 43rd street) on Tuesday, October 5. The production officially opened on Sunday, October 24.

Special priced preview performances are slated for April 21st & 22nd (8PM) and the production will play through June 13th.
