"Sex is in the Heel," a new single remix by Grammy® Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper, composer of the new Broadway-bound musical Kinky Boots, has hit the Top Ten (#6) position on the Billboard Dance/Club Play Top 200 chart this week. The energetic love letter to fancy footwear, which shares the Top Ten this week with Madonna, Usher and the Scissor Sisters, is the first single from a Broadway show to top the dance charts in more than 25 years.

According to the Associated Press, ex-Spidey director Julie Taymor just today reached a tentative settlement regarding her lawsuit against the producers of Broadway's SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK. Details of the deal have not been released to the public.

Bend in the Road, a new family musical based on Anne of Green Gables, has been set for a limited engagement at the Carrie Hamilton Theatre (upstairs at The Pasadena Playhouse) in Pasadena.

People.com reports that Rosie O'Donnell and fianceé Michelle Rounds tied the knot in a secret ceremony on June 9th in New York. O'Donnell's rep Cindi Berger revealed the news commenting, 'They got married but they haven't had the wedding celebration.'

Chanhassen Dinner Theatres brings its audiences a fresh rendition of a musical classic never before seen on the Main Stage with BYE BYE BIRDIE. This all-American musical will light up the stage with preview performances from October 5 through 18. Official grand opening festivities take place on October 19. The production is slated to run through March 30, 2013.

XL Nightclub presents its new weekly show 'Broadway Call' with nightlife host Marti Gould Cummings tonight, August 13th. The show will begin with an old fashioned-musical theatre sing along and happy hour at 7pm followed by live performances by Cummings and a new weekly guest at 9pm. The concert is a free event. The Monday, August 13th performance of Broadway Call will feature Leap of Faith, Hair, and Rent star Krystal Brown.

The Colony Theatre presents the second production of its "Season of Premieres" with the West Coast Premiere Premiere of BLAME IT ON BECKETT, written by John Morogiello and directed by Andrew Barnicle. A THOUSAND CLOWNS performs in the Broadway Theatre Center's Cabot Theatre in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward.
