LEAP OF FAITH's Krystal Joy Brown Set for Broadway Call at XL Nightclub, 8/13

XL Nightclub presents its new weekly show 'Broadway Call' with nightlife host Marti Gould Cummings on Monday, August 13th. The show will begin with an old fashioned-musical theatre sing along and happy hour at 7pm followed by live performances by Cummings and a new weekly guest at 9pm. The concert is a free event. The Monday, August 13th performance of Broadway Call will feature Leap of Faith, Hair, and Rent star Krystal Brown.

The World Premiere of Kinky Boots, the new musical brings together four-time Tony® Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Grammy® Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Music & Lyrics). Directed and choreographed by Tony® Award-winner Jerry Mitchell, Kinky Boots will play the Bank of America Theatre (18 West Monroe Street, Chicago, IL) beginning October 2 through November 4, 2012, in advance of a Broadway opening. New Line Theatre's 'Offline' Hosts 1970s Game Show Fundraiser Tonight, 8/4

New Line Theatre, 'the Bad Boy of Musical Theatre,' has created a new side identity called New Line Theatre Off Line, which will be a framework for the New Line actors to explore other music and Theatre Projects, including New Line's own unique brand of adult cabaret, musical improv, and other kinds of performance opportunities, as well as master classes, workshops, and more. New Line actor Mike Dowdy (Forbidden Planet, Spelling Bee, The Wild Party, Evita, Two Gentlemen of Verona, bare, Cry-Baby, High Fidelity) will head up the Off Line brand under his new title of Associate Artistic Director.

According to the Daily Mail, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark producers Michael Cohl and Jeremiah J. Harris have been scouting London venues for the musical but have yet to find any solid possibilites due to the physical size of the show.

Ghostlight Records will release the Original Cast Recording of Barry Wyner's new musical, CALVIN BERGER on Tuesday, September 25, 2012. The full cast featured on the recording, including Noah Weisberg (Legally Blonde, South Pacific), Krystal Joy Brown (Leap of Faith), David Hull (Wicked) and Dana Steingold (Spelling Bee), will reunite at Joe's Pub the evening before the release - Monday, September 24, 2012 at 7pm - to celebrate the album release with a special concert event. The original CALVIN BERGER cast will be joined by several additional special Broadway guests, to be announced.
