'It's not the easiest thing to go, climb on stage, it takes a concerted effort-and I do it all the time,' Boritt tells Vanity Fair about the incident.

During a recent performance of Broadway's HAND TO GOD, an audience member quietly made his way up on the stage of the hit comedy to plug his cell phone in to what he believed to be a working outlet.

On the heels of being named the first female African-American principal dancer for the American Ballet Theatre, The New York Times is reporting that Misty Copeland will be joining the cast of Broadway's ON THE TOWN next month. After New York City Ballet principal dancer Megan Fairchild departs the show, Copeland will take over the role of Ivy for two weeks, beginning August 25th.

Today, June 18, Arts in Review welcomes Jeff Blumenkrantz and Brett Ryback, the original cast of the off-Broadway hit whodunit musical, MURDER FOR TWO, currently playing Geffen Playhouse in Westwood.

Rehearsals have begun for Martin Sherman's 'Bent,' a groundbreaking drama about the rare power of love in the most inhumane conditions. Directed by Moise?s Kaufman, previews for 'Bent' begin July 15 and opening is set for July 26. Performances continue through August 23, 2015, at the Center Theatre Group/Mark Taper Forum.

THE PRINCE OF BROADWAY is onstage at last!

Brooklyn's newly restored Kings Theatre (1027 Flatbush Ave, Brooklyn, NY) has announced that the all-new U.S. tour of the beloved musical Annie will play a limited 16 performance only engagement at the venue this holiday season, December 15 - 27, 2015. Directed by original lyricist and director Martin Charnin for the 19th time, this production of Annie is a brand new physical incarnation of the iconic Tony Award-winning original.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) has just announced that  Keira Knightley (Therese) will be joined by Gabriel Ebert (Camille), Matt Ryan (Laurent) and Judith Light (Madame Raquin) in a striking new adaptation of Therese Raquin by Helen Edmundson, based upon the novel by Emile Zola, directed by Evan Cabnet. 

Murder, musical mayhem and a madcap mystery will be on stage when Philadelphia Theatre Company presents the killer musical MURDER FOR TWO, running tonight, June 6-28 at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (Broad and Lombard Streets).

Clinton The Musical, the headline-making musical by Australian brothers Paul Hodge and Michael Hodge, directed and choreographed by Tony Award nominee Dan Knechtges will end its run on Sunday, June 21 at 7PM after 15 previews and 86 performances at New World Stages.

The Off-Broadway hit Murder for Two opens tonight (June 3) in the Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater.  The production has now been extended through Sunday, August 2.
