As announced this morning on NBC 'Today,' Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter and international music superstar Jennifer Nettles will make her Broadway debut this February in the Tony Award-winning, record-breaking hit musical CHICAGO.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic and its Music Director Gustavo Dudamel opened the 2014/15 season with A Celebration of John Williams: Opening Night Gala Concert, a star-studded evening honoring the greatest film composer of all time at Walt Disney Concert Hall, Tuesday, September 30. The event featured the LA Phil, led by Dudamel, world-renowned violinist Itzhak Perlman, soloists Dan Higgins, Glenn Paulson and Michael Valerio, the U.S. Army Herald Trumpets and the Los Angeles Children's Chorus, led by Anne Tomlinson and supported by members from the Angeles Chorale. Also showcased were several elaborate video installations created by projection designer Netia Jones and critically-acclaimed creative studio LIGHTMAP. Since the building of Langroise Recital Hall on College of Idaho's campus in Caldwell, very few plays have been performed at Jewett Auditorium. I was pleased to hear, however, that not only would DreamWeaver Musical Theatre perform THE MAD ADVENTURES OF MR. TOAD on that stage, but that College of Idaho has graciously partnered with DreamWeaver for use of the auditorium over an indefinite period of time. An older stage, with plenty of seating and great acoustics, Jewett Auditorium gave a certain amount of charm to the show, even before the actors made their first entrance.

The US trek will kick off on October 1st in Ashville, NC at New Earth Music Hall and have the boys playing 200-400 capacity rooms with stops in several major cities along the way including Atlanta, GA/Masquerade on October 4th, New York City/The Studio at Webster Hall on October 8th, Denver, CO/Larimer Lounge on November 8th, Minneapolis, MN/7th Street Entry on November 13th and Chicago, IL/Schubas on November 15th. The nearly two month long trek will have the boys out until the week before Thanksgiving.
