The Purple Rose Theatre Company will present Jeff Daniels' Onstage & Unplugged for a limited eight-show engagement from tonight, July 28 through Sunday, August 2, 2015. (Editors' Note: Please find a full performance / pricing schedule on page 2). All performances will be at The Purple Rose Theatre Company, 137 Park Street, Chelsea, MI 48118. This glorious week of Jeff Daniels' Onstage & Unplugged performances will conclude with the 4th annual Purple Rose Backyard BBQ fundraiser on Sunday, August 2nd at the beautiful Zingerman's Cornman Farms in Dexter, MI. Guests will enjoy cocktails and BBQ, live/silent auctions, live music by The Ben Daniels Band during the day, and Jeff Daniels' Onstage & Unplugged with dessert reception at 8pm.

The Purple Rose Theatre Company has announced its 4th annual Backyard BBQ Fundraiser on Sunday, August 2, beginning at 3:30 PM. The BBQ will feature a farm-to-table dinner created by Zingerman's Roadhouse with vegetarian options, cocktails, live music by The Ben Daniels Band and auction activities. The beautiful destination location will be Cornman Farms, located at 8540 Island Lake Road in Dexter, MI, only seven miles from The Purple Rose Theatre.

Richard Bean's new play Great Britain opened in the West End on September 26,following a sell-out run at the National Theatre. With a cast led by Lucy Punch andRobert Glenister, Nicholas Hytner's production now continues at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in a strictly limited season to 10 January 2015. The Theatre World Awards are presented annually at the end of the theatre season to six actors and six actresses for their significant, reviewable, debut performances in a Broadway or Off-Broadway production. The ceremony is a private, invitation-only event followed by a party to celebrate the new honorees and welcome them to the Theatre World 'family.' In what has become a highly entertaining and often touching tradition, 12 previous winners serve as the presenters, and often relive moments from past ceremonies and share wonderful stories rarely heard at other theatrical awards. The Theatre World Awards took place last night, June 2, at Circle in the Square (West 50th Street, between Broadway and 8th Avenue), home of the current Broadway revival of Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill. 2014 Honorees for Outstanding Broadway or Off-Broadway Debut Performance included: Paul Chahidi, Nick Cordero, Bryan Cranston, Mary Bridget Davies, Sarah Greene, Rebecca Hall, Ramin Karimloo, Zachary Levi, Chris O'Dowd, Sophie Okonedo, Emerson Steele, and Lauren Worsham. The 2014 Dorothy Loudon Award for Excellence in the Theater Winner went to Celia Keenan-Bolger for her performance as Laura in The Glass Menagerie and the 2014 John Willis Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre Winner went to Christopher Plummer.
