Warner Bros. Home Entertainment (WBHE) and Turner Classic Movies (TCM) are adding four new collections to their TCM Greatest Classic Films line, which spotlights some of Hollywood's most legendary actors and actresses in classic cinema.

Just in time for Halloween, DRACULA: THE JOURNAL OF JONATHAN HARKER, is an original adaptation by Orlando Shakes very own Jim Helsinger from the Bram Stoker novel Dracula. Jonathan Harker must make a delivery to Castle Dracula and is captured by the mysterious Count. Can Jonathan survive the ordeal and will he be able to stop the powerful undead creature of the night?

Warner Bros. and Appian Way's Leonardo DiCaprio have signed Lee Shipman and Brian McGreevy to write a modern adaptation of H.G. Wells' 1896 novel THE ISLAND OF DR MOREAU for the big screen.

NEW YORK MUSICAL THEATRE FESTIVAL (NYMF) and the UNIVERSITY OF GREAT FALLS (UGF) are pleased to announce the New York premiere production of Michael Gilboe's, in collaboration with the students of The University of Great Falls, THE DEAD LEGEND, directed by MICHAEL GILBOE. THE DEAD LEGEND will play three performances only as part NYMF at the PTC Performance Space (555 West 42nd Street). Performances are Friday, July, 12th at 4:30 pm and 8:00 pm and Saturday, July, 13th at 12pm.

THEATER TALK just celebrated the 88th birthday of the great star Elaine Stritch. Also included in the episode were music director Rob Bowman, and actor Hunter Ryan Herdlicka who appeared with Stritch in 'A Little Night Music' on Broadway. In a freewheeling conversation, Stritch reminisces fondly about a number of people and things of significance including Stephen Sondheim, Bela Lugosi, and the gift basket that Alec Baldwin sent her after she injured her hip. So explained Actors' NET of Bucks County Artistic Director Cheryl Doyle in announcing the company's next offering at the intimate Heritage Center in Morrisville. Running tonight, January 18 - February 10, the Steven Dietz adaptation of the Bram Stoker classic The NET has unearthed has excited Ms. Doyle's enthusiasm.

Amanda Flynn (Los Angeles company of WICKED and Las Vegas company of MAMMA MIA, joins the cast of THE PASSION OF ED WOOD in the role of Dolores Fuller, Ed Wood's long-suffering girlfriend. In WICKED she frequently went on in the part of Glinda and in MAMMA MIA as Sophie.

Told from the viewpoint of the iconic cinema director actor Orson Welles, THE PASSION OF ED WOOD focuses on Hollywood shlock director Ed Wood, posthumously awarded 'The Worst Movie Director of All Time' for 'Glenn or Glenda,' 'Plan Nine from Outer Space,' 'Jail Bait' and 'Orgy of the Dead' to name a few. The new musical focuses on the director's decision to hire Bela Lugosi, famous for his film portrayal of Dracula at the end of Lugosi's career.

Resonance Ensemble has announced the cast for their 10th anniversary season "Connecting Circuits" featuring two shows in rep, a classic play and new play with resonating themes. This season includes the classic 1920 play R.U.R. by Karel ?apek, adapted by Lee Eric Shackleford, directed by Valentina Fratti in rep with THE TRUTH QUOTIENT, by award-winning playwright Richard Manley, directed By Eric Parness. The season will run tonight, January 9 - February 2, 2013 at Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre (410 West 42 Street).
