For anyone who grew up playing the classic computer game "The Oregon Trail" (especially in computer class, and especially if you filled up your wagon with pop stars and classmates you had crushes on), Bekah Brunstetter's ("This Is Us," Be A Good Little Widow) new play THE OREGON TRAIL, is going to hit all the right buttons.

Boulder Ensemble Theatre Company's (BETC) Season 12 play titles were announced at a pre-show party on Saturday, February 4th. Local theater lovers joined the BETC Ensemble at the Dairy Arts Center for a sneak peek at the company's upcoming season, and the opening night, regional premiere performance of An Iliad.

Pioneer Theatre Company presents 'i' as part of the 2016-2017 Play-by-Play season. The staged readings will take place at the Dumke Auditorium of the Utah Museum of Fine Arts (UMFA) on Today, January 27 and Saturday, January 28, 2017.  'i' is a mysterious love story about the threads that bind us together, set a couple days after tomorrow.

Chicago's Halcyon Theatre announces that its 2017-18 season will feature Bekah Brunstetter's Midwest Premiere of The Oregon Trail (Sept. 14 - Nov. 4) and Caridad Svich's Midwest Premiere of De Troya (May 10 - Jun. 20).

The Drama Desk and Obie Award-winning Keen Company will present the Eleventh Season of Keen Teens. This season's offerings will be And... Action by Eleanor Burgess directed by Julie Kramer; Rat Court by Boo Killebrew, directed by Daisy Walker; and Tilda Swinton Betrayed Us by A. Rey Pamatmat, directed by Zi Alikhan.

The Alley Theatre announces an added Late Night Preview featuring excerpts from the new musical Lover, Beloved: An Evening with Carson McCullers by Suzanne Vega and Duncan Sheik. The special 50-minute presentation is part of the previously announced lineup of readings and workshop performances, all taking place February 2-12 at the Alley All New Festival. Portland Center Stage at The Armory is using a story produced for the stage as a lens for audiences to explore a key part of U.S. history, guided by a 'Visit Astoria' travel itinerary. Consisting of three days of outlined destinations and attractions, the itinerary both educates travelers on the history surrounding Astoria, the first U.S. settlement on the West Coast, and aids in bolstering the tourism industry in Oregon. Inspired by the world premiere production of Astoria: Part One, playing at The Armory January 14 through February 12, 2017, the travel itinerary gives theater-goers and tourists alike the chance to explore the region featured in the production and gain a deeper connection with the story on stage. The 'Visit Astoria' itinerary is one of two travel itineraries - made possible in part by a grant from Travel Oregon-that were released this season as part of Portland Center Stage at The Armory'sNorthwest Stories series.

Pipeline Theatre Company has announced Beardo, with book and lyrics by Jason Craig (Beowulf - A Thousand Years of Baggage), music by Dave Malloy (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812), and directed by Ellie Heyman (The Traveling Imaginary). Beardo will take place at St. John's Lutheran Church (155 Milton Street, Brooklyn - G Train, Greenpoint Stop).
