Watch the official teaser for the sixth and final season of House of Cards. The final chapter will launch on November 2nd.

AFI FEST presented by Audi will close with the World Premiere of Focus Features and Working Title's MARY QUEEN OF SCOTS.  Directed by Josie Rourke and written by Academy Award® nominee Beau Willimon, the historical drama is based on John Guy's biography, “Queen of Scots: The True Life of Mary Stuart.”  The film stars Academy Award® nominees Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie, along with Jack Lowden, Joe Alwyn, Gemma Chan, Martin Compston, Ismael Cordova, Brendan Coyle, Ian Hart, Adrian Lester, James McArdle, David Tennant and Guy Pearce.  The Closing Night Gala will take place on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at the historic TCL Chinese Theatre.

Nomad Motel - a fresh, coming of age comedy-drama about an American and a Chinese family whose lives are unexpectedly linked - makes its Southern debut as the finale of Horizon Theatre Company's "New American Dreams Series" this fall.  

Vermont Shakespeare Festival will present the U.S. premiere of a new version of the only classical play starring two women in power, Friedrich Schiller's Mary Stuart.  It will be presented as a staged reading, the latest in the Salon Series, on Saturday, October 6th at 7 p.m. at the Highland Center for the Arts in Greensboro, and on Sunday, October 7th at 3 p.m. in the McCarthy Recital Hall at St. Michael's College.  This is a rarely seen epic in a fresh and lean adaptation.

Sean Penn leads an ensemble cast in this near-future drama about a crew of astronauts attempting to become the first humans on Mars. Under the direction of visionary aerospace magnate Laz Ingram (Natascha McElhone), the crew contends with peril and personal sacrifice as they undertake the greatest pioneering feat in human history.

Hulu today announced their Fall 2018 programming slate. Newly announced premieres include 'Light as a Feather' (October 12) and the return of 'Marvel's Runaways' (December 21).

Golden Globe winner and Emmy Award nominee Robin Wright returns as President of the United States in the sixth and final season of the award-winning landmark series House of Cards.  The sixth season premiere is November 2nd.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company is pleased to announce the complete casting and directors for the first four shows of its 2018/19 season: Downstate by Pulitzer Prize-winning ensemble member Bruce Norris; Familiar by Danai Gurira; La Ruta by Isaac Gomez; and A Doll's House, Part 2 by Lucas Hnath. Directors Danya Taymor (Familiar) and Robin Witt (A Doll's House, Part 2) are added to the 2018/19 director lineup. Hulu Orders New Pilot From Producer of Emmy Winning HANDMAID'S TALE

Academy Award® nominees Diane Lane and Greg Kinnear as well as Cody Fern join Wright this season alongside Emmy Award nominee Michael Kelly, Jayne Atkinson, Academy Award® nominee Patricia Clarkson, Emmy Award Nominee Constance Zimmer, Derek Cecil, Campbell Scott and Boris McGiver in the sixth and final season.  House of Cards executive producers are Melissa James Gibson, Frank Pugliese, Robin Wright, David Fincher?, Joshua Donen?, Dana Brunetti?, Eric Roth?, Michael Dobbs? and Andrew Davies?. The series was created by Beau Willimon? and is produced by Donen/Fincher/Roth, with MRC as the studio, for Netflix.  

Previews begin this Friday, June 1 for the Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) world premiere production of LOG CABIN, a new play by Pulitzer Prize finalist Jordan Harrison (Marjorie Prime, Maple and Vine, Doris to Darlene at Playwrights; "Orange Is the New Black").  Directed by Tony Award and Obie Award winner Pam MacKinnon (Clybourne Park, The Qualms at Playwrights; Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, The Parisian Woman), LOG CABIN is the sixth and final production of the theater company's current 2017/2018 Season.  

National New Play Network, the country's alliance of nonprofit theaters that champions the development, production, and continued life of new plays, celebrates the opening of its 81st Rolling World Premiere (RWP): Nomad Motel by Carla Ching. The Roll kicks off at Member Theaters City Theatre Company (May 18-June 3 in Pittsburgh), followed by Horizon Theatre Company (September 28-October 21 in Atlanta), and Unicorn Theatre (January 23-February 27, 2019 in Kansas City, MO). Nomad Motel was presented at NNPN's 2016 National Showcase of New Plays, hosted by the Department of Theatre and Dance at the University of Texas at Austin.
