Monica Piper's NOT THAT JEWISH Travels Off-Broadway Tonight

Michael Alden Productions presents the New York premiere of NOT THAT JEWISH, written and performed by Emmy Award-winning and Golden Globe nominated writer and comedian Monica Piper (Writer of Roseanne, Mad About You, Rugrats) and directed by Mark Waldrop (Howard Crabtree's When Pigs Fly, Bea Arthur on Broadway: Just Between Friends).

NENAproductions Presents THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW LIVE

Just in time for Halloween, NENAproductions Theater Projects opens its 14th Season as the resident theater company of Ocean Grove with Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show LIVE. On stage at the Jersey Shore Arts Center at the corner of Main Street and Main Avenue, at the entrance of Ocean Grove, Rocky Horror, everyone's favorite participation musical will be presented Fridays and Saturdays, October 14 through October 22 at 8 PM and Sunday, October 23 at 3 PM. All Seats are $25.

THE MEETING* to Celebrate New Comedy Album THE GAY AGENDA at OASIS

The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre - the monthly gathering of the International Order of Sodomites, the centuries-old organization which sets the mythic Gay Agenda - will return to OASIS (298 Eleventh Street, San Francisco CA) for a fifth appearance on Saturday, November 5 at 7:00 PM.

Bea Arthur's Son Discusses the Beloved Actress' Commitment to the LGBT Community and New Youth Shelter

As BroadwayWorld reported in August, a homeless shelter specifically for LGBT youth will open on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, in honor of Bea Arthur, a staunch supporter of the LGBT community. In a feature for the Hollywood Reporter, Matthew Saks, Arthur's older son, discusses his mom's legacy within the LGBT community and the impact she had during the AIDS crisis, choosing to remain devoted to a group of people who were being increasingly pushed into the margins by the majority of society.
