Baz Luhrmann Musical STAR CROSSED LOVE Will Open in Vegas This June

According to an Equity casting notice, Las Vegas is about to get a taste of Baz Luhrmann. Auditions will begin soon for BAZ: STAR CROSSED LOVE, with direction by Anderson Davis, and musical direction by Jesse Vargas. Performances will begin on June 25, 2016.
Official: Alfie Boe and Sally Ann Triplett Will Fly Into FINDING NEVERLAND This Spring

It's official! Tony Award-winner Alfie Boe, the British tenor acclaimed for his role as 'Jean Valjean' in the widely watched 2010 25th anniversary special televised concert at London's O2 arena of LES MISERABLES, and then again in the West End's 2011 production, will take over the role of 'J.M. Barrie' in Broadway's FINDING NEVERLAND on Tuesday, March, 29. No word yet on whether he will travel with the show when it returns to London in January 2017.

SHOW BOAT will be sailing from Sheffield to London when the Crucible's hit production transfers to the West End this spring. The Daily Mail writes that stars Gina Beck, Emmanuel Kojo and Rebecca Trehearn will move with Daniel Evans' production of the classic musical from April 9 at the New London Theatre. Olivier nominee Michael Xavier, who played 'Gaylord Ravenal' in the original production, will not reprise his role, as he will be starring opposite Glenn Close in SUNSET BOULEVARD at the London Coliseum.

Official: STRICTLY BALLROOM to Cha Cha Into the UK for Christmas

It's official! The first UK staging of STRICTLY BALLROOM THE MUSICAL - based on the much loved film that inspired the world to dance - is to premiere at West Yorkshire Playhouse, Leeds, on Wednesday 30 November 2016, playing a season through until Saturday 21 January 2017 (Press Night: Tuesday 6 December at 7.30pm).

Today, Bryan Ferry announced additional live dates for 2016 including a performance at the Fox Theatre on Thursday, August 4 7:30 p.m. The show will feature a fantastic set list that combines both Roxy Music and solo hits and will include songs from Ferry's recent critically acclaimed release Avonmore, described as 'his best album in 30 years'.
2016 Schwabacher Debut Recitals to be Presented by San Francisco Opera Center & Merola Opera Program

San Francisco Opera Center and the Merola Opera Program present the 33rd season of the Schwabacher Debut Recitals. This season, the recitals move to the state-of-the-art Dianne and Tad Taube Atrium Theater in San Francisco Opera's new Diane B. Wilsey Center for Opera, located on the fourth floor of the Veterans Building (401 Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco). The February 28 series-opener—Ports of Call with New York Festival of Song Artistic Director Steven Blier and 2016 San Francisco Opera Adler Fellows Amina Edris, Edward Nelson and Brad Walker—marks the inaugural public performance in the Taube Atrium Theater, which boasts the innovative Meyer Sound Constellation acoustic system. The 5:30 p.m. Sunday recital series continues on March 6 with bass-baritone Daniel Okulitch and pianist John Churchwell; March 20 with baritone Efraín Solís accompanied by pianist Robert Mollicone; and April 24 with baritone Kihun Yoon and pianist Mark Morash.
