Paper Mill Playhouse has announced casting for its winter comedy, Christopher Durang's Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. This touching and wickedly hysterical Tony Award-winning best play features Broadway, television and film veterans: Philippe Bowgen (Spike), Gina Daniels (Cassandra), Carolyn McCormick (Masha), Mark Nelson (Vanya), Michele Pawk (Sonia) and Jamie Ann Romero (Nina). Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike will be directed by Don Stephenson. Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike will run eight times a week at the Millburn, New Jersey, theater from January 21 through February 15, 2015. For parents looking for a fun and exciting activities for children, Barter Theatre is pleased to announce that registration is open for Barter Youth Academy's (BYA) 2015 spring theatre workshops. The deadline to register is fast approaching. Those registering before December 31 will receive a 15% early registration discount.
During the past two years, Barter Youth Academy has grown from 89 students in Abingdon, more than 300 enrolled students throughout the region. Students ages 5-18, with all abilities and experience levels are welcome, and scholarships are available. Campuses are now located in Abingdon, Va., and Bristol, Kingsport and Mountain City in Tennessee.

Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) will open their 2014-15 season with Olives and Blood at the Nafe Katter Theatre today, October 2nd - 12th. Written by Michael Bradford, this new play stars Martin Sola as Juan Luis Trescante Medina, the aging fascist who claims responsibility for the murder of poet-playwright Federico Garcia Lorca, played by Nicholas Urda.
