Multi platinum-selling Grammy and Tony nominated singer-songwriter and New York Times best-selling author Sara Bareilles, who composed the music and lyrics for the hit Broadway show Waitress, will make her Broadway acting debut on March 31 in the lead role of Jenna Hunterson for a limited engagement of 10 weeks, through June 11, 2017. Joining her are TV star Chris Diamantopoulos as Dr. Pomatter, who inspires the expert pie-maker to create an 'I Wanna Play Doctor with my Gynecologist' pie, and beloved Broadway leading man and Tony Award nominee Will Swenson as Earl, Jenna's ne'er-do-well husband. Tony Walton, who has designed sets and costumes for film, opera, ballet, and television but is perhaps best known for his extensive work in theatre, will appear live, onstage at Palm Beach Dramaworks today, January 3, to discuss his distinguished career with J. Barry Lewis as part of the popular series Dramalogue - Talking Theatre! The program will be presented twice, at 2pm and 7pm, at the Don & Ann Brown Theatre.

Takarazuka, Japan's famous all-female musical theater troupe, makes its first appearance in New York in over 25 years with Takarazuka CHICAGO at Lincoln Center Festival July 20-24 only at the David H. Koch Theater, running concurrently with the Tony Award-winning show, with a legendary book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander, and lyrics by Fred Ebb, and now the number one longest-running American musical in Broadway history.
