MTC to Stage World Premiere of Harvey Fierstein's New Play CASA VALENTINA in April 2014; Joe Mantello to Direct

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer), have announced that Manhattan Theatre Club, by special arrangement with Colin Callender, Robert Cole, Frederick Zollo and the Shubert Organization, will produce the world premiere of CASA VALENTINA, the play by four-time Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein, directed by two-time Tony Award winner Joe Mantello.

Single tickets are available today for five world premiere plays that are a part of Manhattan Theatre Club's 2013-2014 season. On Broadway, at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street), tickets are available for THE SNOW GEESE (a co-production with MCC Theater) and OUTSIDE MULLINGAR via Telecharge at 212-239-6200, online by visiting www.Telecharge.com, or by visiting the Friedman Theatre Box Office (261 West 47th Street). A third production at the Friedman will be announced shortly. MTC to Present U.S. Premiere of Dennis Kelly's TAKING CARE OF BABY, Begin. Nov. 5; Margaret Colin, Reed Birney & More to Star

Lynne Meadow, Barry Grove, and Mandy Greenfield have announced that Manhattan Theatre Club will produce the American premiere of TAKING CARE OF BABY, by Tony Award winner Dennis Kelly, directed by Erica Schmidt (Humor Abuse at MTC, Invasion!). TAKING CARE OF BABY will begin previews on Tuesday, November 5 and open Tuesday, November 19 as part of MTC's 2013-2014 season of The Studio at Stage II - Harold and Mimi Steinberg New Play Series at New York City Center - Stage II (131 West 55th Street).

Manhattan Theatre Club Extends CHOIR BOY Through August 11

Manhattan Theatre Club has extended Tarell Alvin McCraney's CHOIR BOY through August 11, it was announced today by Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director), Barry Grove (Executive Producer), and Mandy Greenfield. The critically acclaimed play with gospel music, directed by Trip Cullman, is currently playing at The Studio at Stage II - Harold and Mimi Steinberg New Play Series at New York City Center - Stage II (131 West 55th Street). This is the final extension for the production as production prepares to move to Atlanta's Alliance Theatre.

THE ASSEMBLED PARTIES Enters Final Week of Performances on Broadway

Manhattan Theatre Club's acclaimed production of Richard Greenberg's THE ASSEMBLED PARTIES begins its final performances at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street). Directed by Lynne Meadow, the limited engagement will play its final performance Sunday, July 28. On that date, the show will have played 28 previews and 119 regular performances.

Brian F. O'Byrne and Debra Messing to Lead John Patrick Shanley's OUTSIDE MULLINGAR; Opens at Samuel J. Friedman Theatre on 1/23

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) just announced OUTSIDE MULLINGAR, the world premiere play by Tony and Academy Award winner John Patrick Shanley, directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes will be a part of Manhattan Theatre Club's 2013-2014 Broadway season starring Tony Award winner Brian F. O'Byrne and Emmy Award winner Debra Messing.

World Premiere of David Grimm's TALES FROM RED VIENNA Set for MTC's 2013-14 Season, Begin. Feb. 26, 2014

The world premiere of David Grimm's TALES FROM RED VIENNA has been added to Manhattan Theatre Club's 2013-2014 theatrical season, it was announced today by Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director), Barry Grove (Executive Producer), and Mandy Greenfield (Artistic Producer). Kate Whoriskey (Ruined at MTC) will direct the production, set to begin previews on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 with an official opening night scheduled for Tuesday, March 18 at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street).

CHOIR BOY Begins Previews Tonight at Manhattan Theatre Club

The show airs locally on WABC (channel 7) at 9 AM. Check local listings if outside the tristate area.
