XLrator Media has acquired all U.S. rights to the Norwegian supernatural thriller THALE which screens tonight at the Toronto International Film Festival's Vanguard section. The deal was announced today by the filmmakers and Barry Gordon, CEO of XLrator Media, which will release the film in early 2013.
XLrator Media has acquired all domestic rights to the military thriller ALLEGIANCE, starring Shad "Bow Wow" Moss (Madea's Big Happy Family, Lottery Ticket), Seth Gabel (Fox's Fringe), Aidan Quinn (Unknown), Malik Yoba (Why Did I Get Married Too?) and Pablo Schreiber (HBO's The Wire).
ESPN Films has announced the return this fall of the Emmy-nominated documentary series 30 for 30, and is also expanding the brand to include a 30-part digital short film series. 30 for 30 Shorts will be a collaboration with Bill Simmons' Grantland.com and will be similar to the feature-length films in that each piece will represent a specific point of view of the filmmaker and will be a reflection of how they blend the narrative with their own visual style.
