The Pond Theatre Company, an American home for contemporary British and Irish playwrights, presents the world premiere of The Naturalists by Irish writer Jaki McCarrick. Directed by The Pond co-founders Colleen Clinton and Lily Dorment, The Naturalists marks the professional New York debut of McCarrick, best known for her play Belfast Girls, which was developed at the National Theatre Studio in London and was shortlisted for the 2012 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize. McCarrick's play, Leopoldville, won the 2010 Papatango Prize for New Writing.

Planet Connections Theatre Festivity (PCTF), the brainchild of arts professional Glory Kadigan, turns 10 years old. Known for its engaging and empowering series of plays every summer, the festivity is also celebrated for presenting readings of new works by some of New York's most prominent writers of independent theater. The Off-Broadway League has announced that Terry Byrne was elected as the new President of The Off-Broadway League. Byrne is the first female president in the nearly 60 year history of the League. The organization also announced three new additions to the Board, including Dean Carpenter, Steven Chaikelson and Casey York.
Footloose is based off of a story about Ren McCormack moving to a small town where the local government has banned dancing and rock music, and how he leads his classmates around the law and Reverend Shaw Moore to have a real senior prom. The music is by Tom Snow(among others), the lyrics by Dean Pitchford (with additional lyrics by Kenny Loggins), and the book by Pitchford and Walter Bobbie.

She channels her father and electrifies her story by taking the audience to an imaginary all-star, all-time baseball game in Brooklyn's famous Ebbets Field!

Broadway actor and teaching artist Eric Robertson is lined up to teach The Art of Clowning Adult Master Class on Monday, July 16 from 6:30-8:30pm. Friends of the theater may remember Robertson from the Playhouse's production of A Chorus Line in 2016!
