Harlem 's Underground Rhythm King , Broadway's Omar Edwards, will be bringing his new show HARLEM NIGHTS: The Music, The Song, The Dance back to MIST, Harlem's premier entertainment destination, today, October 18, 2018. Accompanied by his band, The K 360 Club, Edwards and company take the audience on a musical journey through a pool of sounds from jazz to reggae and back again. Edwards's tap shoes, combined with the seamless instrumentation of musicians, Jarred Barnes on keyboards, Wahkiba Julion on Drums and Shaine Wilson on Bass, provide a unique experience for an audience , in having the cadence and rhythm of Omar's feet , not voice expertly lead the band.

New Musical, LET THERE BE LIGHT Wins New York Theatre Festival's Summerfest 2018

The New York Theatre Festival selected 120 productions for their Summerfest Competition this year which was held from July 11th through October 4th, 2018 at The Hudson Guild Theater. On October 9th, the awards ceremony took place. LET THERE BE LIGHT, a new musical with Book, Music, and Lyrics by Brianna Barnes, took home the top prize of BEST MUSICAL/PLAY and won $3,500. LET THERE BE LIGHT also won BEST SCORE, and received three Best Singer nominations (Lou Steele*, Tommy McDowell,* and Brianna Barnes) as well as a Best Actress nomination (Calli McRae).
