The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) announced additional casting today for the 2013 season of free Shakespeare in the Park at the Delacorte. This summer, all performances for THE COMEDY OF ERRORS and LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST, A NEW MUSICAL will begin at 8:30 p.m. with running times of approximately 90 minutes, no intermission.

Manhattan Theatre Club presented their annual Spring Gala last night, May 20 at Cipriani 42nd Street (110 East 42nd Street). This year's gala featured special appearances by MTC stars Judith Light (The Assembled Parties), S. Epatha Merkerson (Come Back, Little Sheba), Bebe Neuwirth (Golden Age), and Jennifer Westfeldt (The Explorers Club).

Earlier today, the OLD JEWS TELLING JOKES sandwich was unveiled at the Carnegie Deli. Host of 'The Chew' Carla Hall, who designed the sandwich, was there to celebrate with the cast and you can check out photos from the festivities below!

The Broadway production 'Old Jews Telling Jokes' came to the Friars Club last night for an evening full of laughter produced by Michelle Slonim. Creators Sam Hoffman and Peter Gethers gave an interesting talk and video presentation about the shows formation. Marilyn Sokol and Lenny Wolpe from the cast of 'Old Jews' told some side splitting jokes from the show. Stewie Stone 'head comic' at the Friars had some of his own hilarious stories and also introduced various Friars who contributed to the joke telling.

The 58th Annual Drama Desk Awards will take place on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at 8:00 PM at The Town Hall (123 W. 43rd Street). The Awards show is written by Bill Rosenfield and directed by Jack Cummings III (co-founder and artistic director of Transport Group).

The off-Broadway show OLD JEWS TELLING JOKES was featured on CBS Sunday Morning this past weekend. In the segment, correspondent Richard Schlesinger tracks the comedy of the Borscht Belt from its birth in the Catskills to its renaissance in the hit show, which has been running in New York since May and will open in Chicago this fall. Master chefs Mario Batali and Michael Symon prepared Spicy Fried Cornish Hens, and invited master joke teller Todd Susman to tell a chicken joke!
