Hinkle, Hurwitz, Kerwin et al. Set for LCT3's GRACELAND

Marin Hinkle, David Gelles Hurwitz, Brian Kerwin, Polly Lee and Matt McGrath will be featured in LCT3's upcoming production of GRACELAND, a new play by Ellen Fairey, directed by Henry Wishcamper. This New York premiere will begin performances, Monday, May 3, open on Monday, May 17 at 6:45pm and run through Saturday, May 29 at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street® project (229 West 42 Street).

Insights & Revelations Performance Series Reschedules Rehearsing Consciousness

Rehearsing Consciousness will now be presented next Thursday, March 4th, at 8:00 p.m. The Insights & Revelations Performance Series, now in residence at The Emelin Theatre of Mamaroneck for the 2009/2010 season, announces the first show of the Spring 2010 season, February 25th at 8:00 p.m.

Playwrights Horizons Announces Casting for A COOL DIP IN THE BARREN SAHARAN CRICK

Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) continues its 2009/2010 Season with the World Premiere of A COOL DIP IN THE BARREN SAHARAN CRICK, a new play by Kia Corthron (Breath, Boom at Playwrights Horizons/PH, Force Continuum), directed by Obie Award winner Chay Yew (Durango at The Public).

Tickets for MCC Theater's FAMILY WEEK On Sale Today, 3/3

MCC Theater (Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, Artistic Directors; William Cantler, Associate Artistic Director; Blake West, Executive Director) has announced that tickets will go on-sale today, March 3, 2010, at 12:00 p.m. (noon) for the company's third and final production of their 2009-2010 season: Beth Henley's Family Week, directed by Jonathan Demme. Performances of the four person play begin at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC) on April 9 and continue through May 23, 2010. Opening night is set for Monday, April 26 at 7:00 p.m.

The Wilma Theater Presents LANGUAGE ROOMS

The Wilma Theater continues its 2009 - 2010 season with the World Premiere production of Language Rooms, a black comedy that exposes the divided loyalties among today's immigrants, discovering the rising cost of the American Dream.

DUSK RINGS A BELL Plays Atlantic Theater Company, 5/19-6/20

Dusk Rings a Bell, written by Stephen Belber will be performed at Atlantic Stage 2 as Atlantic Theater Company's final production of the season. The play will be directed by Sam Gold and will run May 19-June 20. Performances take place Tuesday-Saturday at 7:30 PM and Saturday and Sunday at 2:30 PM.

Humana Festival Continues with GROUND and PHOENIX, Beginning 3/2

The 34th annual Humana Festival of New American Plays, made possible by a generous grant from the Humana Foundation, will continue with the two full?length plays Ground, beginning performances March 2 and Phoenix beginning performances March 5. Both plays run through March 28.

Cheatom, Doman & Marvel Lead Suzan-Lori Park's THE BOOK OF GRACE at The Public, 3/2 - 4/4

The Public Theater announced complete casting for the world premiere of Suzan-Lori Parks' THE BOOK OF GRACE, directed by James Macdonald. The complete cast will feature Amari Cheatom as Buddy, John Doman as Vet, and the previously announced Elizabeth Marvel as Grace. THE BOOK OF GRACE will begin previews on Tuesday, March 2 and run through Sunday, April 4 with an official press opening on Tuesday, March 16. All evening performances for THE BOOK OF GRACE will be at 7:30 PM, except for Saturdays at 8 PM.

East Lynne Theater Set for SHERLOCK HOLMES

'The question is the sequence of events leading from the jewel-case at one end, to the stomach of a goose at the other. You see, our deductions suddenly assume a more important and less innocent aspect. Here is the jewel - the jewel was in the goose, and the goose came from Mr. Henry Baker, the gentleman with the bad hat.' Sherlock Holmes is speaking to his loyal friend Dr. Watson, and they are on their way to investigating a curious crime, which might save an innocent man from prison.

American Theater Company Launches 'The Silver Project'

American Theater Company (ATC) celebrates its 25th Anniversary with The Silver Project, a year-long festival of 30 world premiere short plays penned by some of the country's leading playwrights. The Silver Project will run over ten evenings between February 8, 2010 and June 20, 2010 at American Theater Company, 1909 W Byron St, Chicago.

ACT Announces 2010 New Play Award Winner, Hosts Two Free Staged Readings

Playwright David Wiener has been named ACT's 2010 New Play Award winner for his play Extraordinary Chambers. Two FREE staged readings will be presented in ACT's Bullitt Cabaret on February 27 at 7:30 p.m. and February 28 at 3:00 p.m. Each reading will be followed immediately by post-play discussions with the playwright and the director, Kurt Beattie.

NY's SPF Selects Alena Smith For Theater Bielefeld’s Voices of Change Fest

New York's Summer Play Festival (SPF) is partnering with Germany's Theatre Bielefeld for the second year as part of the Voices of Change Festival in Bielefeld, Germany from April 22 - 25, 2010. This year's selected playwright is Alena Smith, whose play The Sacrifices (SPF 2009) will be translated into German, and receive a workshop production as part of the Festival.

New Works by Neil LaBute & John Guare Headline SEVEN CARD DRAW at Dixon Place

Brand new monologues by prolific and controversial writer/director Neil LaBute (In the Company of Men, Nurse Betty, The Shape of Things and Reasons to be Pretty) and legendary playwright John Guare (House of Blue Leaves, Six Degrees of Separation) highlight a three-night presentation of new dramatic works at Dixon Place (161A Chrystie Street in Manhattan's Lower East Side).

Theatre of the Expendable Announces Their 2010 Season

Theatre of the Expendable (Mare Cognitum, Cherry Docs) announces their fifth season, which will include Alan M. Berks' Almost Exactly Like Us and Conor McPherson's St. Nicholas. Both productions will be directed by TotE's Artistic Director, Jesse Edward Rosbrow, and will play at The WorkShop Theater.
