Since 2009, Broadway South Africa has conducted empowerment through the arts programming in disadvantaged communities throughout South Africa. The organization has raised close to $500,000, helping to improve the lives and future's of student's dramatically affected by poverty, violence, abuse, and HIV/AIDS.
On Monday June 2, Broadway vet and Epic recording artist Morgan James (Motown, Godspell) will bring her powerhouse vocals to (le) poisson rouge to celebrate the release of HUNTER, her debut studio album of original soul tunes on Epic Records. Classic and modern: horns, full band, lush and funky, she will sing from the new album, including her first single "I Want You", and sign CDs after the show.

Tony Award nominee Rory O'Malley (THE BOOK OF MORMON) just debuted the world premiere of his autobiographical show, PUB CRAWL, at Joe's Pub on March 10, 2014. PUB CRAWL is Rory's coming of age story that tells the tale of being raised in an Irish pub on the west side of Cleveland by his single mom and all of the bar's eclectic patrons. Using classic Irish pub songs from The Wolftones, U2, Van Morrison and more, the evening will feature music direction by Tony and Grammy Award winner, Stephen Oremus.
