This holiday season, ABC will again air the “PEANUTS” Christmas special, “I Want a Dog for Christmas, Charlie Brown!,” produced and animated by the same team that has gave us the other, now classic cartoon specials based on Charles M. Schulz's famed comic strip.
The Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC) is pleased to announce casting for the 2013 holiday production of Tchaikovsky's timeless classic, The Nutcracker. A popular and highly-anticipated FPAC tradition for more than 20 years, The Nutcracker brings international ballet stars, world-class musicians and 100 area dancers to one suburban stage. Special guest artists Dalay Parrondo and Bradley Schlagheck, Boston Ballet soloists, will dance the roles of the Sugar Plum Fairy and Cavalier. Franklin's Nick Paone will reprise the role of Dr. Drosselmeyer. Delighting the imaginations of audiences of all ages, FPAC's magical journey of The Nutcracker will also feature a professional orchestra under the direction of Peter Cokkinias.

Ashley Rose Montondo, a graduate of the University of Minnesota/Guthrie BFA program in Minneapolis, was cast into the lead role of Elizabeth Bennett in the Guthrie's summer smash, PRIDE AND PREJUDICE, starring opposite Mad Men star Vincent Kartheiser as Mr. Darcy when the original actor unexpectedly pulled out of the show. It is her first major starring role on the Guthrie stage, though she did have minor roles in a number of prior productions through her college program. Ashley took a few minutes to talk about her experience this summer.

The Guthrie Theater today announced that Ashley Rose Montondo has joined the cast of its summer production of Pride and Prejudice. She assumes the featured role of Elizabeth Bennet after the sudden departure of Erin Krakow.
