Goethe-Institut To Screen The Canadian Premiere Of Acclaimed German TV Series BAD BANKS, Starring Paula Beer At TIFF

The Goethe-Institut Toronto proudly presents the exclusive Canadian premiere of the entire first season of BAD BANKS starring Paula Beer (Transit; Frantz; Never Look Away). The German-Luxemburgish co-production set at the heart of Europe's financial capitals premiered at the 68th Berlinale 2018 and went on to win the Audience Award at the Kino Festival New York. Beer, who was a jury member for the 1st Cannes International Series Festival, won Best Actress at the Bavarian Television Awards for her role as Jana.

Kero Kero Bonito Sign To Polyvinyl, Plus Share New Song/Video

London-based bilingual indie pop/rock band Kero Kero Bonito announce today that they have signed to Polyvinyl Record Co. and to celebrate they are sharing a new single “Make Believe” alongside a James Hankins-directed music video. JAGMAC, Radio Disney's 'Next Big Thing,' to Release Highly Anticipated Debut EP Tomorrow

Radio Disney's 'NBT' (Next Big Thing), JAGMAC, will release their highly anticipated debut studio EP 'Right Back With You' this Friday through Unitas Entertainment LLC. Recorded in Los Angeles, California and produced by Jayme David Silverstein (Miguel, Kaskade, and Morgan Page), Tommy Hubbard & Rich Zahniser as The Trust (The Gipsy Kings, Bootsy Collins, and Billy Ray Cyrus), and two-time Grammy Winner Neff-U (Michael Jackson, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Ne-Yo, Justin Bieber, and Sia), 'Right Back With You' displays a fresh sound in pop music; it is high energy, colorful, soulful, and positive. KC Wall Of Respect Opens At Jewish Community Center Today

The Wall of Respect was a mural created in 1967 by Chicago artists representing the Organization of Black American Culture. It fostered Black pride, revitalized the neighborhood and gave birth to a national community mural movement. Some 49 years later, the Wall no longer exists having burnt with the building it was painted on. However, historic photos of the iconic wall were powerful enough to inspire a project in Kansas City that has engaged more than 150 people of all ages and ethnicities from every area of the metro area.

Xavier Dolan & Will Beinbrink Cast in New Line's IT: CHAPTER 2

According to Deadline, Xavier Dolan and Will Beinbrink have landed supporting roles in New Line Cinema's IT Chapter Two for director Andy Muschietti, who helmed the original. The sequel portrays the kids — members of the Losers' Club, who were tormented by Pennywise — as adults. James McAvoy plays Bill, Bill Hader is Richie, Jessica Chastain is Beverly, James Ransone is Eddie, Andy Bean is Stanley, Jay Ryan is Ben and Isaiah Mustafa is Mike. Bill Skarsgard returns as Pennywise.

The Inaugural Steel City Underground Film Festival Now Accepting Submissions

Lionsgate Signs First-Look Deal With Academy Award Nominated Actress & Producer Salma Hayek

Adding to its roster of A-list talent relationships, global content leader Lionsgate (NYSE: LGF.A, LGF.B) has signed a first-look producing deal with Salma Hayek Pinault, one of the industry's premier multi-hyphenates, along with her producing partner Jose 'Pepe' Tamez. Under the agreement, Hayek Pinault and Tamez will produce feature films for Lionsgate under Hayek Pinault's Ventanarosa Productions banner. Reflecting Hayek Pinault's enormous versatility, her production banner will also explore feature film opportunities with Lionsgate's Pantelion Films venture.
